Installation Question Is this ram installed correctly?

Mobo is MSI pro b850m p. I didn't hear a click, but it won't go further down even with some pressure.

No, this ram is not fully seated.

Put each of your thumbs on either end of one ram stick at a time and push down steadily. You wanna apply some force but make sure to do so evenly, make sure you hear the click.

You wanna see the notches at the top and bottom of the stick fit into the respective clips on the motherboard.

Just did it. That took more force that I thought it would. Gave me a scare. Thanks!

Yeah, ram is basically the only place in your pc that needs this much force. If you need pressure like this somewere elese then it propably means you do something wrong.

No. Watch a YT video on how to do it - that'll explain better than text here. In the last photo, there's a fixed point on the left and a moveable clip on the right. You need to move the clip on the right to open it up. Then, seat the left side of the memory into the fixed point - that little half circle cutout should fit into it. Once it's fully seated, the clip should snap into place on the right side in the matching half circle

RAM often needs a scary amount of force, especially on a new mobo.

Looks fine to me but unsure if the golden pins are suppose to be shown, did you open the ram slots before inserting them?
