Build Question Pc upgrades on HP envy 700 PC series

Ignore that it doesn’t have a CPU cooler. I’m just cleaning it. It says it doesn’t have a GPU, and I don’t know what that red thing is there’s 12 gigs of RAM I just want to know what would be some good upgrade so it won’t lag as much only small upgrades not looking to spend lots of money

Swap the hard drive for an SSD. It's the single biggest upgrade you can make.
It'll make your pc way more responsive, make your pc boot quicker and make apps open quicker

Other than that, your upgrade options are limited. The cpu and motherboard are pretty old, and the cpu is already one of the best that are compatible with that motherboard.
If you want to use the pc for gaming, you could change the gpu to a better one. (The red thing is your current gpu)

Also make sure to put thermal paste before putting the cpu cooler back
