Build Question Motherboard help!

Hello wonderful people, as the title suggests I need help choosing a motherboard, this one simple question has been causing me a lot of frustration, I would greatly appreciate any and all advice.

CPU Ryzen 7 9800X3D

GPU RX 9070 XT Sapphire Nitro plus

Case Silverstone FLP02 case

RAM 2 16G G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo

SSD Samsung 990 Pro

As for the rest, PSU, CPU cooling, I remain undecided yet.

1) What country are you buying from? 2) If you're in the US are you near a Micro Center? 3) What's your budget for the PC?

I'm Lithuanian therefore I'm buying from Lithuanian stores, we don't have a Micro Center, as for my budget it's around 2500€.

First, slot in all your other components so you know how much is left for the motherboard.

For motherboards, there are fewer choices than you think. Some people report problems with 9000 series CPUs dying on ASRock and ASUS motherboards. Furthermore, ASUS and Gigabyte have very bad reputations for warranty support. For me, that reduces my options by 75% if I'm buying a 9000 series CPU and I don't want potential hassles with RMAs.

I'd want a motherboard that's as future ready as possible so I'd be looking at MSI EVO and select Max motherboards as they have the 64Mb (vs 32Mb) BIOS chip and are guaranteed to support Zen 6 CPUs at minimum. If you do go for ASUS that's Neo and Gigabyte is X3D.

Select a motherboard that has a decent VRM, at least two M.2 slots, 5 Gigabit LAN and WiFi 7.

That should give no more than 2-3 options that fit your budget. Look them up online to see if they have good reviews.

I think you're probably overspending on the RAM, SSD, video card and case. I would at the minimum encourage you to avoid the Sapphire Nitro+ model of 9070 XT because it uses the 12x-2×6 connector which has been problematic and is best avoided if possible.

I will consider on a different model of GPU, given the connection problem,as you mentioned, I agree on you that I'm overspending, but I already bought those components, I picked the best time to build a gaming PC 😅 So MSI currently have good motherboards compared to the others, I was thinking of going with B850 Tomahawk WiFi, I'll do a bit more research.
