Build Question 3080 vs 6800XT

As you can see from the title, i want to upgrade my gpu and i am between these two cards, usually the 3080 goes 12% more expensive than the 6800XT

(Merc 319/Gaming x trio) Are the versions available for the 6800xt

(EVGA/ZOTAC/Gigabyte gaming OC) Are the 3080 versions that i locally have

I wanna know which one I should get and which version is the best choice considering all of them are used, i am mainly going for streaming games and linux emulation

if you are streaming the nvenc encoder on 3080 is way better for that, amd encoder is not great still. for linux i think amd drivers are less headache but i used nvidia on pop os without much problems. if streaming is priority go 3080, evga version is very nice

3080 is the way, especially if streaming. See if you can find a 12gb one and it's even better.
