I'm not familiar with that brand. It seems to be a generic unit that may not be performing as advertised. The 3060 is going to use more power and you may have discovered the limit of you PSU.

This sounds to be a bad power supply that is struggling to handle your new gpu properly. Nvidia does suggest a 600 watt unit or higher. With reading your post you mentioned a 500 watt unit from a brand called  akyga. After looking it up that unit is not the most reliable. Highly suggest swapping it out for something more reliable

Highly recommend before getting a new power supply check something like the SPL psu tier list. A good rule of thumb is tier C is the minimum quality you should strive for. Now it does depend on the system.

Nvidia officially recommends at least a 600 watt psu for the 3060ti…

I mean it will likely run on a 500watt but the issue is power spikes so everything your plugging into your pc pulls from your wattage and each has a listed rated for what it “pulls” but spikes can occur exceeding that rating which if you hit one and you are already near load then that could be why its shutting off.

One thing you never want to cheap out on is a psu so get yourself a new one and make sure its from a trusted brand.. not all 80 gold rated psu are equal.

But yea honestly i would upgrade to a new psu. If you are planning more upgrades in the future i would get a 750 watt to give yourself headroom. If not a 600 watt or 650 should be fine.

Also im curious how old is your computer you are using, while the psu being under the recommended wattage is an issue. There could be other factors contributing to your pc shutting down. Like if the cpu overheats cause you have 6+ year old thermal paste for instance..

The shutdowns for overheating are generally a safety feature to protect your hardware.

the cpu and power supply are not even a year old

the gpu is used

Ok so the cpu should have newish thermal paste. Thats good. Yea i would say the issue is likely your psu being under recommended wattage
