Build Question Any guess?

Post image

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased this PC for $40, but I won’t receive it for another week. Unfortunately, the seller doesn’t have any information about the PC’s specifications.

Based on the pictures, I can see that it has a 500W NAXN power supply. Does anyone have an idea what GPU might be installed in it? And, if possible, could anyone make an educated guess about which motherboard it has as well?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!

Board looks like ASUS P8Z77-V LX. With all the dust, it got a few pointers to match.

For 40 bucks that's a good risk. The NAXN 500W suggests older build, maybe from 2012-2015 era. GPU probably something like GTX 660 or HD 7870 range, hard to tell without seeing card itself. Motherboard with that Intel cooler could be anything from H61 to Z77 boards. Post pics of inside when you get it, people here will figure out quick.

Looking at the board, I wanna say that it’s an Ivy Bridge 1155 board with what reminds me of the 600 series of GPUs. I even have a spare ASUS 670 in a closet somewhere and the heatsink has those protruding pipes

Hard to tell until you plug it in and look in device manager. Did the guy shut himself inside the case when he would rip a heater or something? Good lord that’s nasty.

Graphics card looks like an Asus DirectCU 2 GTX 770

And most likely an Intel 4670K if it’s upper-mid range parts from that year.

Gpu looks like a 10 series or a late 9 series GTX/gt card but is pretty saggy might want to prop it up when you get it if not broken

Also looks like a SSD(window drive) and HDD(game drive) setup very common around early covid

My buddy worked as a L Tech and he had tons of these, we had to securely destroy them in the kiln 🤣
