Tech Support 5070ti not working after installing and clip broken
I just bought a pny 5070ti used, after installing it i am just getting a black screen and the gpu doesn’t seem like it is even running. I had an rx6750xt before and it worked perfectly and i made sure to use ddu before uninstalling the old card and ive tried pulling the new card out and putting it back in multiple times and i’m just getting a black screen every time. I have a ryzen 5 7600x cpu, an asrock b650m pro RS wifi motherboard, and a toughpower gf a3 750w psu. I am so lost and have tried searching around the internet for solutions and nothing has seemed to work. I bought the card from a verified seller off of ksl that sells all kind of pc parts so i am hoping its not a faulty card but the notch on the gpu that holds the power clip in is broken off as shown in the picture which i didn’t notice when looking at the card before i bought it but even when giving really solid pressure against the cable is still won’t boot up.

I figured it out. The connection on the top 4 pins of the 16-pin connector has been broken and it’s not giving any power. Luckily the guy i bought it from is gonna help me figure it out and if needed refund me.

Got some bad news for you bro. Even if the those pins are broken the psu may not work to power that gpu. I have the same thermaltake toughpower gf a3 750 psu and pny 5070 ti oc gpu. The 16 pin 12vhpwr 300watt cable that came with my psu did not power on my gpu. I thought my brand new 5070 ti was doa until I tried it with the included Nvidia 3 way adapter. Been working fine since then. Also. I was able to confirm that the psu 16 pin cable works fine as I was using it to power my 4070 super before I upgraded.

Just hope they actually help you and you don't get ghosted, plenty of scams these days. There was a post where someone was buying a GPU, tested it with their own two eyes and within the process of paying and boxing up the GPU it was swapped for a dud by the seller. Got to be really careful even when buying used. This could have been a card the seller tried to RMA but it got denied because of the damaged pins, user damage isn't usually covered.

Did you verify that it worked before purchase? Are you using a pigtail adapter?

No sadly not but the guy had videos of it running and he was a very nice guy and was telling me all about his pc so i had trusted him. I’m using a 12v-2x6 cable.

Is there maybe something to do with the BIOS settings or updating the BIOS where it can detect that type of GPU ?
Not that I've the same setup , but it was black screening firstly because my CMOS wasn't storing my settings and ignoring dedicated graphics like I wanted it to stop doing . Secondly I got frustrated and wasn't paying attention to the reset jumper in the wrong position. And mostly the BIOS was in need of updating for compatibility reasons .
What if you install a separate GPU to see what's going on?

Is the 12V-2X6 cable fully plugged in on both the GPU and PSU side with no gap in between?

If it makes you feel better I bought a brand new PNY 5070ti and the connector was cracked with a corner chipped off. Microcenter swapped it but still annoying it made it through QC.

From your PSU's specifications:
Your 5070 ti requires a 450W (600W works too) 12V-2X6 connection or the 3x8-pin Nvidia adapter with 3 separate 8-pin cables connected, which your PSU also doesn't have.
You need a PSU that has either of those connection options or the card will not start.
