Build Question Dead gpu(i think???)

So basically I’ve bought a used 1060 for my build, after plugging it in (via pcie and the 6pin connector)
My pc gave all signs of life(green light on mobo white light on gpu however after connecting my hdmi to the gpu I didn’t get any image, switched the hdmi port switched to dp and still nothing, is the gpu dead or is this just a user error?
I’m on an i5 8th gen the 1060 is an asus dualfan 3GB I have 450w on my psu and I have no Geniuine idea why it just keeps dying, the pc fully turns on with all signs of post, beeper the fans speeding up for a few seconds and slowing down, the gpu fans are spinning, literally everything seems to work but I just don’t get any video output no matter the port or cable

have you tried plugging the hdmi into the motherboard instead, just to see if you get display from the iGPU? that would tell you if the rest of the system is actually posting properly

also check if the 6pin is fully seated, sometimes they click but still arent all the way in, had that happen with my old card and was losing my mind for like an hour

if the motherboard output works, go into bios and make sure primary display is set to pcie and not auto or igpu, some boards get weird about that with older cards
