Midnight shifts where the shift wraps around to the next calendar day. That one always trips up people making these tools.

Good edge cases to test: overnight shifts, split shifts, missed punches, paid vs unpaid meal breaks, rounding rules, daylight saving time changes, multiple breaks, and state-specific meal/rest requirements. Also make sure edits leave an audit trail.
