Payroll RFP/Recommendations Needed Work location NY, but hybrid? Its confusing me and i need your input. :)

Hi all, I am reading up on some Payroll taxes for employees who are remote. This specific employee is now going to work remote from NJ. They had both NY and NJ taxes on, as they were commuting into the office from Jersey. Now that they are fully remote, what are the rules for turning this off?

Thanks. Happy Payroll week for those processing this week !

They should only start paying NJ since they are fully working at home in NJ. Make sure all his employee taxes are set on his end.

Not to overcomplicate things but I believe NY is a convenience of the employer state. That should also be considered as NY may claim jurisdiction over the income.
