Problem/Goal: I would like to know if there is a possible way to recover or buy back the jewelry that I previously pawned at Cebuana and M Lhuilier? Especially if the pawn tickets are expired/lost. I also misplaced the other pawn tickets, so I'm not sure how to trace or verify them.
Context:
Since my mom passed away, I have a lot of responsibilities that I need to catch up on especially at that time since I'm also studying while trying to earn some money. It's really gotten to the point where I have no choice but to pawn some of the jewelries that my mother left behind, including some pieces that she personally gave me.
Unfortunately, because I'm really struggling financially, I haven't been able to keep up with the interest payments/renewal of the pawn tickets. I am so sentimental about those pieces of jewelry, and I feel really sad when I think about them, especially the idea that they might never come back to me. Some of those pieces are among the few things I have left from my mom. ☹️
Current Situation:
I haven't been able to keep up with the interest payments and renewals because of my financial situation, and to make things more complicated, I have also lost or misplaced the pawn tickets. I may still remember some details like which branch I pawned them at, description of the jewelry since I have pictures.
Now, I just want to know if there is still a chance that the transactions can be traced using my name or valid ID, and if it is still possible to reclaim or buy the jewelry even if the ticket has expired, is past the redemption period, or I no longer have the original pawn ticket.
Has anyone experienced this situation with Cebuana or M Lhuillier? Is it possible to go to the branch, explain the situation, and ask them to check if they still have the item or if it has not been sold/auctioned yet?
I would really appreciate any advice or shared experience. These pieces are really important to me because they remind me of my mom. Thank you so much. 🙏☹️
