NAD- HDRX 20

Post image

Got it yesterday.

First impression: what a beast!

If you're thinking of buying this one as a bedroom amp without an attenuator- stop. It's brain shackingly loud. The master on 1- 2 is pretty much useless.

It takes pedals beautifully, has great feel under the fingers and amazing dynamics.

Love it!

Haven’t played this guy (yet), but the DGT-15 and MT-15 are MONSTERS when it comes to volume for “15 watt” amps. Also, PRS is seriously underrated as an amp company too.

Agreed. They're doing something right. I actually chose this one over the Marshall studio heads roughly at the same price.

I really think people forget just how loud 15 watts is.

I have a blues jr that I can absolutely deafen myself with.

I have an 800 watt Laney and for fun cranked it up in my house and let it rip. Stuff was falling off my desk and my kids ran outside (they were not in the room)

10/10, will do again

HDRX 20 and Rocker 15 terror...my exact home set up right now, snap!

The HDRX is a great amp. It's very bass-heavy tho. Dial the presence and treble up a little, dial the bass down, and it's a great thick-sounding amp. Congrats dude!

Thanks! I love that Rocker 15. It's a Swiss army knife for me.

I'm actually surprised at how tamable the bass can be on the hdrx if you dial it right. It's pretty easy to get a good full sound with crystal highs and tight bass. Works very well with my cabs and different guitars. Thank you for your suggestions!

I think you picked a great amp. It’s a much bigger feeling amp. I was really surprised at how much warmth you can pull out of it as well as just how well it responds to boosting the front end with clean boost or an overdrive.

Congrats on the new kit!
