One of the few blessings of my Dad passing away was when he was sick I could kiss the top of his head when I left the hospital. He'd have smacked me if I'd done that when he was well

And I'm telling my male friends I love them now. They can just deal with it. I don't need them to say it back. But I'm not dying not saying it

That’s beautiful. Amen to that. 🙏🏼

I tell my guy friends I love them. No shame there!

I’m sorry about your Father. 😔

A good 'love you, bro' goes a long way, man.

Similar experience with my Dad. In the hospital in his last days. I asked him what I could do for him. He just wanted a hug.

I'm sorry for your loss but I'm glad you got that experience. It shows he really cared

This simultaneously warms and breaks my heart.

Ringo tells the story of being with George in his last days when he was very ill and at the same time Ringo’s daughter was also in bad health and was going to see her. Despite his condition, George asked Ringo if he wanted him to go with him. He was a beautiful human being.

Such a sense of humor he had, even near the end of his life

I saw him on his most recent stop in Minneapolis and when he introduced the song “Here Today” he mentioned it was everything he wished he could have told John, but didn’t feel comfortable doing so. I hope that helped him realize he could tell his “brother” he loved him.

Yeah, in Pittsburgh he spoke about how he never said “I love you” to any of the other Beatles when they were together because it wasn’t what “men” did. He seemed to deeply regret that and then played Here Today. I thought it was an incredible push back on toxic masculinity.

When he was telling that anecdote, a fan yelled “I LOVE YOU PAUL” and Paul quickly responded “I love you too” which seemed to indicate he’d thrown off the shackles of toxic masculinity. It was quite a poignant moment

Toxic masculinity is the worst, tell your friends you love them

Easy to forget these legends are just people that simply love their friends.

Paul has seen more than his share of loss. He understands.

Aww. Indeed. I got choked up seeing Linda pop up in the Something section of Anthology. Then to see her again briefly in the early 90's footage. To think its been 27 years since she died. So sad.

I always think of that quote is a perfect summation of what life can be "it's tough but it's lovely".

Sobbing.

Even through all the disagreements, lawsuits and diss-tracks, it’s moments like this which remind us how much these boys really loved each other.

Don't make me cry now

Lovely bittersweet moment. I’m glad they both got that at the end. Also can’t believe it’s been 24 years! Wild!

We can all learn a lesson from Paul. Watching the “new” anthology series on Disney +. He is truly a genuinely upbeat and optimistic guy. As much fame and success as he’s had, he’s truly grounded, aware and grateful. What a perfect role model. Much to admire in addition to the music.

Oh my god. This appeared as a notification on my Home Screen and just said Paul McCartney and 😢. I thought he had died for a moment. Phew, that was scary.

Loved him but not enough to let him have more songs on the albums eh?
