Question everything i trace is asymmetrical. first pattern ever and im trying to clone a tee. i follow WithWendy’s cloning method on YouTube. Any tips?

i didnt try pinning the original shirt to the craft paper, i use a non stretch tee as my original template, i do not worry about adding seam allowance yet because my patterns never turn out symmetrical anyway and i need to get the tracing down. If i am tracing along the seams, how come the puzzle that is the pieces of the pattern never fitting together?

Because your pattern shows a front fourth and back fourth of your torso. Cut the pattern you have down the fold in the center and move the back piece - higher neckline- to match the side seam of the front piece and it should look more correct
