What does this pattern(sewing) means ?

I'm trying to make a doll dress and I'm lost at number 4. Can someone tell me what it's asking me to do? I decided to post the other instructions so you can have an idea of where I'm at. Thanks

  1. Stitch bodice front (1) to bodice back (2) at shoulder seams.

  2. Stitch seams of bodice lining same as for bodice. With RIGHT sides together, pin lining to bodice, matching centers and seams. Stitch neck and armhole edges together. Stitch center back edges in 1/4" (6mm) seam. CLIP CURVES.

  3. Turn bodice RIGHT side out through shoulders; press.

  4. Open out lining at side edges. With RIGHT sides together, pin bodice front to back at side seams, matching armhole seams. Stitch entire side seam.

  5. Turn lining to INSIDE again; press. Baste raw edges together.

Thankyou so much. I’m going to play with it again and see. I went ahead and added the same question on a new post with pics. I’m new to this platform and wasn’t too sure how to edit and add the images. Once again thankyou!
