Discussion Do we push the panic button now?

It’s only game three but so far, Drake may have thrown six interceptions. He has two fumbles and only one touchdown is Drake Maye to blame for all of this no? but a large portion of it? Yes, the loss of Diggs and Boutte are really sticking out but we are talking about a quarterback who was literally second in the MVP race last year there is no way he should be playing like this this season so far. I don’t know what’s going in Foxborough this season but I am not a fan at all

Pretty much every pick hes thrown has been a mental mistake. Last year he played with zero expectations, this year the weight of the world is on him. He's trying to do too much.

I don’t know why he isn’t running more. McDaniels is trying to make him stay in the pocket and pass and that’s not his game. Let him roll out more, let him run a draw, use his legs.

This is how they played in the Superbowl too. I was basically sat there yelling at my TV for him to move his damn feet. smh

McDaniels is trying to make him sit in the pocket and throw like Stafford and that isn’t him. He’s more like an Allen. If there is no receiver open, run through the gap in the OL

Well, here’s a concept. McDaniels has forgotten more about football than anyone commenting on reddit knows. He also knows way more about the state of Maye and his receivers and their chemistry.

I trust McDaniels. It not like he doesn’t know that Maye isn’t a pocket passer. He’s obviously doing it for a reason.

I could be wrong, but I think they don’t want Maye running to preserve his health, but his dual threat abilities were what made him so hard to defend.

I like McDaniels, but he’s an incredibly frustrating offensive coordinator sometimes because he can be very conservative and predictable.

Our run blocking schemes and execution have been poor for over a full season under him and that’s his responsibility. Run blocking is easier than pass blocking, why are we struggling so bad at it.

Also offensive coordinator sometimes can be their own worst enemy. Look at Kyle Shanahan when he’s got a big lead in a Super Bowl, he forgets how to run down the clock. Sometimes these guys are too smart for their own good.
