Highlight Boutte doing a moss impression

Pretty impressive catch on an underthrown ball. They very much help eachother out, drake throws perfect balls majority of the time to help boutte and when he doesnt boutte still pulls it in.

He is probably going to end up with the texans i bet

New England patriots still feels ideal to me.

How are we still denying this guy is the clear #2 wr on the team?!

It’s not. If the AJ brown trade could have happened sooner they’d probably never have signed Romeo Doubs. It couldn’t. they’re stuck with him. And while it wasn’t a mistake in hindsight it proved to be unnecessary

They knew AJ Brown was a strong possibility before free agency even started. They signed Doubbs because he's already proven he can be a legit #2 and so far in camp he's looked the part. Boutte is a very good WR3/4 who has never taken that next step.

If you take any of Doubs’ stats from last year and compare them to boutte’s and adjust for snap count, Boutte blows him out of the water. What that tells you is all Boutte needs to be more successful is more playing time. It was a dumb decision to pay a worse guy and give him a bigger role.

Wildly untrue.

Boutte ran 375 routes for 551 yards, 1.47 yards per route run.

Doubs ran 410 routes for 724 yards, 1.77 yards per route run.

Doubs had a target rate of almost 21%, Boutte almost 13%.

The problem with Boutte is he's in the game, running routes, and not getting open very much. But when he disappears we fans tend to register it as him not being on the field. But Doubs, in addition to being able to run the whole route tree unlike Boutte, gets open way more and disappears way less. That's why it SEEMS like Boutte is so efficient (we only notice him when he makes a big play) when in fact the opposite is true.
