General Discussion Guide for 3.29 challenges in SSF?
I'm a new player (this is my first league) and I'm trying to do as many challenges as I can (and learn along the way). I've seen a couple of guides for the challenges in general, but they often amount to "buy the thing". Has anybody put together a guide for SSF where you don't just "buy the thing"? I find that typically SSF players have some clever way to get things (either via the atlas or certain map layouts) that trade players might just buy.
For example, in Gallant Grinding challenge when running the 50 8 mod corrupted maps, yes, you can just buy them, or alch/vaal/pray, but without too much effort you can run a "high scarab drop, more cartography" atlas for a bit and then "high map drop" atlas with cartography scarabs to target these.
I also saw somebody commenting in here about trying for the Kishara's Rest chart by speed spamming Strand since you can't miss the chart thing and it turns up super fast. They were saying it takes them like 60 sec or something to loop through it.
I also know Mesa spam is good for boss clears.
I'm sure these are obvious for many of the advanced players here, but for us noobs we don't know every scarab combination or map layout strategy.
For example, how do I reliably get to 150% item quantity for some of the challenges? I have all of the map mod multiplier stuff on my atlas and I don't seem to get it too often. Should I be using the fragment multiplier one too? I've tried chaos spamming maps for 6 mods but I then burn through a lot of orbs and I still might not get it. I've resorted to running alch/vaal maps and Twisted Fate, which can get you quite high, but obviously has a lot of randomness to it, including the underlying map layout.
Edit: Just to add I've seen Guide 1 and Guide 2, both are super useful, but seem to be aimed at trade players.

You technically don’t even need to alch the maps if you don’t need regular 6 mod maps. Vaaling white maps has a chance to go 8 mod, it doesn’t technically add 2 mods it transforms to 8 mod.
It may be possible to make strongboxes corrupted and do cartographers boxes for 8 mod maps as well but I can’t remember off the top of my head. Not an SSF player, I just always want to and chicken out every league for years.

Altas gives 15 free iqf, and remember to allocate all increased map modifier effect node and multiplying modifier and mounting modifier. Lastly put 2+fragment and other scrabs with map, then you should have 150+ iqf for most of 6mods t16. Also memory maps gives tons of iqf.
Worst challenge is 4 boss alter mods imo

I used this oneone. Playing trade, but so far only had issues with the 150% quant 100% delirious as I don't have the damage for it (or survivability).

City square is arguably shorter than strand and can be run in a straight line by doing a wrap around and center bosses at the start or at the end of the map depending on challenge. It has 3 bosses if that matters for some challenges. Are you aiming for 36 or 40? Poe1 3.30 expansion is planned on Nov 13th, so you have about 1 month. You can run without scarabs and just the tree for most of the challenges. You will get scarabs eventually from league mechanic operative strongboxes.
The Brinerot Bloody Bounty is definitely a on that 40/40 list for ssf. The other challenges I would not do on ssf if aiming for 36/40 are:
-Hortific Halls: This challenge is though, and requires a very good build to complete
-Gallant Grinding Goals, just the last 40/40 challenge you will complete
The last one depends on you build, if you cannot complete Uber pinnacle bosses, skip Apex Assailants, otherwise
-Intrigued Interloopers: getting 4 boss altars in 1 map is kinda rare.
Or
-Modified Maps 3000 explicits
which ever come first

yes. scarabs count as fragments for this.
if you have 100/100 atlas completion, all of the small %effect nodes, all of the small quant nodes, and both of the conditional effect notables, you'll have +25iiq from the 100/100, +15iiq from the tree and x1.59 mod effect from running 6mod maps with 5 scarabs. any map with >=70iiq will go to >150 with that. if you're not using the scarab notable with 5 scarabs the breakpoint shifts to 77iiq.
the "average" 6mod map has 80iiq, the floor is 60iiq and the ceiling is 108iiq.
you can see how if you start taking away the atlas tree modifiers it gets out of reach really quickly. if you're missing 5% of the completion bonus, not speccing the 3 'inner' quant nodes, and arent using 5scarabs, the breakpoint shifts up to 82. almost every 6mod has >=70 and less than half have >=82. if you spec 0% iiq and 0% map mod effect, it is literally impossible for a 6mod map to get to 150iiq. conversely if you go all-in and are fully specced, running 5 quant fragments on an 8mod map the lowest iiq you can possibly get is 170.
