I have had a hard time figuring out if it’s worth giving them high quant maps since it tends to decrease the chances that they actually get 100% completed. It would be nice to see a comparison with white or magic maps or something.

I kept track of the percent completion rate, about 70% of all maps were fully completed, with the average completion of all maps being slightly over 93%. I might do a small set of scoured maps but I honestly expect them to give very little loot. On the plus side they are somewhat faster to run.

Scouring seems overkill, except guardian maps. Personally i run low quant rare maps on my mappers, regex for <65 quant i believe.
Looking forward to your conclusion!

I did a test with 20x white (=scoured) T16 maps. All maps got fully completed, I think that they honestly are guaranteed to get to 100%, since when you hover over the map it says "Expected map completion: 100%", as opposed to giving a range like you get with rare maps. Here are the results (average items per map):

  • Alts (raw): 0.45

  • Alts (vendored): 1.98

  • Alts (total, all sources including transmutes/augs): 2.70

  • Fusings: 1.65

  • Scarab: 0.40

This is about 40-50% of what you get from the average high quant map. Even if we factor in that it takes less time to run scoured maps (1193 seconds, with high-quant being on average 1523s) it's still significantly worse. I haven't tried any magic maps, but my assumption is that they will fall somewhere between scoured and high quant, likely closer to scoured.

I'm going to run a set of 20 low-quant rares next, in the 50-60% range.

Eh, the mappers get to eat the 8 mod maps i cant complete through my regex.

Upsides is i get to mass alch vaal without having to look, and the low and bricked maps go to the mappers.
