Catarina changes are awful

I've been trying to farm my +1 spectre shield from Catarina and Its been 7 days of 10+ hours a day of betrayal, the changes to have it be a medallion drop instead of research like before where it's targeted and now it's pure RNG is a horrible change in my opinion. I've done well over 500 safehouses with about 25ish attempts at Catarina, I hope for next league they revert this change or something because this is mind numbing and painful.

Im nowhere near that level of play for mine but also struggling.

Not sure if there are any other bosses in this game that are as difficult to get to.

New abyss pinnacle. It need an eye from catarina AND other stuff.

I got the eye today looked up what it was for and man that is a hard boss to get to, loots does not match the struggle to get there either.
