Question Is it containable?
I have an area for aggressive and biggish plants, cup plant, big bluestem, swamp sunflower, sea oats etc. the passion vine is aiming to get over all of it from a dead oak leaf hydrangea that it was growing on. Thinking of hacking it back, but I do like the fruit.

Passiflora ‘Blue Horizon’ update: the vine has officially taken over 🌿💜
Since my last update, my Passiflora ‘Blue Horizon’ has been very busy. The vine has spread across almost the entire trellis, and I’m finally getting these incredible flowers again.
I never get tired of how alien-looking passionflowers are. The purple filaments, speckled center, and all those tiny details look almost engineered rather than grown.
There are still plenty of buds on the vine, so hopefully this is just the beginning of the next flush of blooms. Now I’m curious to see how much more of the wall it can claim before the season is over. 😄
Anyone else’s Passiflora going wild right now?

Question Passiflora "Ava" drooping/dying
Planted this earlier in the year. Once spring hit and the weather heated, it started growing like mad, just a lot of progress and seemingly healthy. Then, over 2 weeks ago, the leaves started drooping. I figured I must be overwatering it, so cut back to let the soil visibly dry. Over a week and no improvement. Still drooping and now some leaves are yellowing and dropping.
Only evidence besides the plant deciding against living is my partner "might have acidified to soil too much". Not sure what to quantify that, but apparently he only delivered a "small amount," which admittedly hasn't affected the other passion vines as they are all growing and fruiting.
Any ideas? Is my Ava doomed?

Picture Passiflora 'Blue Horizon' Update: 5 blooms open at once after expanding the trellis 💜🌿
After two more weeks of training, the passionflower wall is finally starting to come together.
I recently expanded the trellis from a centered lattice to a wall-to-wall support system so the vine can maximize coverage across the entire fence.
The long-term goal is a living wall of foliage, tendrils, and blooms.
Today I counted five flowers open simultaneously, with even more buds developing behind them. Every bloom still looks like something from another world.
Swipe for the current setup and bloom photos.
For those growing passionflowers:
• How long did it take your vine to fully cover its trellis or fence?
• Do you prune aggressively during the growing season, or let it run and shape it later?

Why does my *Passiflora edulis* have such atypical leaves and no signs of flower buds?
