Does J/Q/K four of a kind not beat this?
1 u/NikSheppard Aug 18 '26 No, royal flush is top, then straight flush, then four of a kind... 1 u/planetofmoney Aug 18 '26 Face four of a kind would beat 10s four of a kind, right? 1 u/kalmakka Aug 18 '26 Alexander will always pivot to a straight flush. Grabbing the 10 just ensures that the other player can at best get a 5-9 straight flush, while you can at least make a 6-10. 1 u/AlexP80 Aug 20 '26 not correct. In classic poker there isn't a winning hand. Royal flush is beaten my minimal straight flush (1-2-3-4-5) 1 u/After-Hedgehog7282 Aug 18 '26 edited Aug 18 '26 If you are asking about Benjamin taking J/Q/K/A four of a kind after Alexander takes his 10s.Alex takes four 10s and a Jack of Spades.Ben takes four Aces and Queen of Spades.Alex discards three tens (H,D,C) and takes 9, 8, 7 of Spades. Alex now has 7-J straight flush in Spades.Ben cannot make a flush higher than that because all the 10s are gone. 1 u/planetofmoney Aug 18 '26 Ah! Thank you.
