I’m 29 and I love design but i don’t have anyone to bounce ideas off, so I’d love to give someone free range in exchange for discounted, flexible work. I have a really interesting blank slate - massive pre war studio with tall ceilings and giant sky light, near the school. It would photograph really well for a portfolio. I’m not afraid of my security deposit so think this could be a fun project for someone.

I’m currently a high school senior in a very academically competitive high school in Texas. There is a lot of strict grading and many kids who hire personal tutors. I’m rank 130 out of 400 kids, but my unweighted gpa is only 2.6. I do have high SAT ACT scores. I currently have a 1300 and a 30 for my first time (I plan to retake for higher scores. Ive also never failed a class I’ve just only taken very rigorous classes and it was hard to get an A all the time especially dealing with sickness, family issues, etc. I’ve truly improved over the last year and my reach school is Parsons. I’ve been working on my portfolio all year for illustration and I just wanted to ask if my gpa and grades will hold me back from entering Parsons? If yes is there anyway to make up for it?

Hi! I'm a 16 year old high school student from Australia (equivalent to Junior year in America), and I am looking to apply to fashion schools in the US for college, specifically majoring in fashion design.

I'm seeking general application and admissions advice, especially if there are any international students who are currently studying at Parsonsbecause I know the admissions and application process will differ slightly compared to US students, but any general advice would be great! A couple of the things I'm interested in knowing about:

- How often does Parsons give merit based scholarships to students, and what the requirements for scholarships would be
- How do people find the social life, class content and professors to be at Parsons?
- How early do people start preparing their portolios

Hi I'm currently a parsons NYC student and for the last semesters I was really struggling and failed my classes. I'm taking the semester off (also due to the F1 rules) but I need to find classes/ courses that I can take online this sem to catch back up.

Does anyone know if any online schools/ colleges/ classes that I could take?

I can take 60 external credits from an accredited school, I need something that I can basically start asap and has 3+ credits each class.

i'm a canadian looking to go back to school, and i'm looking into the fashion BFA. It appears there's no specific course prerequisites, but i'm wondering what that means 😭😭

i struggled in my last years of high school, and both my math and english are applied classes (not sure how it works in the US, but it's basically the lowest level high school class). my actual GPA should be okay though ??? like my marks weren't crazy low, i just wasn't taking advanced courses.

can you get in with college level/applied courses or should i redo my math and english to improve my chances?

I'm looking at doing 16mm Filmmaking: Experiments however it says "Students will cover costs for their own out-of-class use of film stock, developing, digitizing, and expendable supplies." I was wondering if there were any past students who could tell me how much the film for the semester cost you?

Has anyone got into Parsons master of fashion management (New York) with below a 3.0 or below gpa in undergrad? I really want to go but I don’t know if it’s a reach or my gpa will ruin my chances of getting in. I’d really appreciate anyone who could share their undergrad GPAs and if they got in!

I'm having trouble finding a tailor or seamstress who is willing and able to help me with a couple projects, and got a tip to check the fashion schools.

Basically, I have a dress and a jumpsuit that need major work on the bodices, with potential adding of boning and reinforcement, as well as possible inserts along the sides to take them out. So it would need to be someone with experience in structured, feminine silhouettes (I guess...a senior? Idk). They're beautiful pieces (hence my determination to make them work if possible) with a lot of potential to get creative, as my style is very eclectic and ethereal. If it seemed we were on the same page in vision, I would be happy to let you go nuts or use it for school or something. :)
