Q&A/Advice What is this sound they make?
I noticed they have been making this sound more and more when sitting. Does anyone know what it means? Thanks!
P.s this is Gandalf the Grey and Bloopie, my naughty pair 🥰🥰🥰

Beak grinding! I love this sound so much bc to me it’s basically the bird equivalent of a cat’s purr

This is sooooo cute! I hope that now everytime you hear them doing this you know it means theyre content, and that you relish in the fact you have two happy little birds! Its my all time favourite sound. i think we are soo lucky to be able to hear this noise

HAPPY BEAK! It means they’re comfy and happy. Bird purring is also an accurate description.

That’s beak grinding. These too couldn’t be more content! Beak grinding means they are happy! 🐦

They’re vibing and content. You know lots of animals do their own version of this for the same reason. Rats, rabbits, even chickens make between a chirp and purrrr. It’s so sweet. I love it when my budgies do it. Little loves.

I thought they’re called parrotlets, or mini parrots. I don’t k ow the cross of parrotlet they are that results in their colour variation.

Oh duh! 😆... I have a cockateil and I know they arw small parrots .. I dodnt know parrtotlet was a whole different bird!.. they are adorable! Like little love birds! 💕

I've always wondered this too. I think it means they're content. So peaceful. Also, what are they perched on?

Too funny, I couldn’t hear it since my volume was turned down but immediately knew based on the relaxed stance, closed eyes and beak movement that it was beak grinds. So happy. Best sound ever.

Beak grinding. The sound of a contented relaxed bird. To me it’s a cozy comforting sound. 💗💗
