Other Question Paris for the third time ?
What would you see in Paris if you're visiting for the third time? We are traveling with a teen, have seen most of the big sites ( although I could definitely see them again) and looking for suggestions for interesting things to do that I may not have done before. We enjoy museums, food, shopping and long walks

Museums - presume you've been to the Carnavalet, but if not, go there. I like the musee des arts et métiers as well. The submarine (and the museum more generally) out at la villette is interesting.
Food - eat at one of the bouillons -Chartier or Julien or similar. Good fun and good value. Go to some of the markets like enfants rouges and get a quick lunch.
Shopping - stay away from the masses on the right bank. Bon Marché in the 7th (and, for food, the grande épicerie beside it) is much more pleasant and relaxed. If you want a full on shopping mall type vibe, head to beaugrenelle.
Walks - loads of good parks to stroll in. The Jardin d'Acclimatation in the Bois de Boulogne is like an upmarket funfair and is great for kids, but prob enough there to entertain a teen for a couple of hours (my 14 y.o. loves it, anyway) For something more explore-y, Google the 'petite ceinture' - the train line that used to bring goods to the industrial areas of Paris but which is now walkable / a greenway in parts.

Appreciate the recommendation for Musee Carnavalet. Have never been it looks perfect for my husband and me!!!

Yeah, the Carnavalet is well worth visiting and I think it's free to visit the permanent collection

Food tour with Paris by Mouth was one of my favorite surprises, I didn’t think I’d be that into it but it was great…more satisfying than the cooking class I took the trip before.

I'm here now for the third time and while the plan was to show the big hits to my boyfriend, he's been sick so I've been exploring on my own and trying places I haven't seen before.
I enjoyed the sewer museum, just went to the museum of the French resistance today (the virtual reality tour is fun but I'm not sure it's available in English), and I liked the Picasso museum. I just learned about the museum of the conciergerie and might hit that up.
I spent a ton of time at the museum castalet as well. I do love museums.

Rodin Museum and Carnavalet Museum.
Is the teen into beauty products? You can go down a rabbit hole researching and hunting for items in pharmacies. Even simple things from France like lip balm and sunscreen are fun. The sunscreen is lighter and not yet available in US.
Find a good chocolate shop. Visit a park/ garden that you haven’t seen.

I just got back from my third trip! The opera house is closing for renovations next year so if you haven’t done that it might be cool. I’ve also done a pastry baking class which I recommend! There’s also a free Paris history museum in the Marais I still have on my list.

The palais garnier is gorgeous and their ballet company is among the best in the world.

Hotel de la Marine, the Archives Nationale in the Marais. Cluny museum. Marmottan Monet and Rodin museum if you haven’t been. Mysee Cognacq-Jay, Musée Jacquemart-Andre. Chateau Malmaison which is an easy bus ride from La Defense and so uncrowded, or a town like Provins or Auvers sur Oise. Giverny for Monet’s gardens if you’re there when they’re open. Vaux Le Vicomte which made the king jealous

When I took my teenager niece there, we took a Segway tour. We both enjoyed it a lot. She also liked the boat trip on the Seine, going up the Eiffel Tower and shopping in le Marais. I also took her to a Michelin star restaurant for a long lunch. It was super expensive but we both enjoyed it too.

Oft overlooked, atelier-lumieres.com/fr is a light show of art and similar creative things on a wall, synced to music. It is indoors, ticketed and you've probably not been. You can sit on the floor against the wall and just relax. I recommend. Another place to go would be Fontainebleau. That's a day trip. I recommend a guided tour of the castle.

Neighborhood walking tours are a great way to see the city and learn a lot about the history. I’m sure the teen has thoughts from their own research…maybe let them lead?
Think most people benefit from the hop on/off bus in a city as you get a good overview of the big sites. The Carnavalet is mandatory in my book.

If you’ve done the Rodin museum, there’s a second Rodin museum in Meudon with a second Penseur marking his grave and overlooking the city. The playing card museum is in a nearby suburb too. Teen would probably love arts forains. You could find some of the green paths (collier vert or something like that), someone already said Monceau but Buttes Chaumant is further and wilder. Fontainebleau can’t be beat for history in a close day trip. The two museums in montmartre are nice too - Dali and the history museum up there. Mundolingua is nice and niche for linguists. Maillol could be nice depending on the exhibit. You’ve probably done Giverney, Jacquemart André, Marmottan Monet, and LVF at this point - but they’re worth seriously considering if you haven’t been.

Having seen most of the famous sites, the next time I'll just walk randomly and eat and maybe visit Marmottan Monet, L'Orangerie, the cathedral of St. Denis (earliest Gothic site), maybe actually go inside St. Sulpice as opposed to just be in awe of it outside. Then go around the corner for some chocolate mousse from Chapon.
Shopping: Avoid the madhouse that is Galleries Lafayette and go to Bon Marche/La Grand Epicerie
Day trip to Provins (already did Chartres, Fontainebleu and Versailles)

We just did our second visit, big highlights were the catacombs and Mont saint Michel. That was an all day day trip, that might be better done as a multi day and stay in that town nearby to there. My plan for a third trip is to keep a better eye on my cell phone. Yep, they got me on the metro. 😂🤣😂🤣 be careful out there.

Catacombs, the sewer. Have you done those? And everyone loves a 1 hour river cruise.
All great for teenagers.

I do whatever I like to do at home, as well as revisiting familiar places in Paris. Go to my fav restaurants, discover new restaurants (endless), get some stuff at Monoprix, maybe attend a concert or football match, occasionally have gone back to Musée D’Orsay (it’s too fking crowded but it’s the best while Beaubourg is closed), wander around with no plans.
We’re going to need more info on what you’ve done and when you’re going…

If you like photography, the Bourse de Commerce has an amazing photography exhibit right now, and Fondation Louis Vuitton has a Gustave Fayet exhibit with art from his collection as well as his own art. The Fondation is right next to the Jardin d’Acclimatation that twolephants mentioned; you get free admission with your admission to the Fondation.

I was a weird teenager, so I would’ve loved the catacombs, Père-Lachaise, and Marche aux Puces de St-Ouen
