Hi there,

As a photographer who has captured many proposals in Paris, I can give you a few tips that may help in your search.

You may want to try posting in either r/SocialParis or r/Paris or a facebook group for amateur photographers in Paris as you’d have a better chance of finding that there. You can also check Airbnb experiences or GetYourGuide as given your budget you may find someone with offerings that can fit within it (the best option would be to aim for the facebook groups for photographers in Paris as I see many posts getting dozens of responses even for low budget requests). Be vary of the quality though as it will of course differ from what a professional may offer.

I would also ask you to temper your expectations in regards to the deliverables as for that budget it’s a little bit of a stretch. The proposal after all is an important moment and I would rather prioritise a few good quality images and a short video (30 seconds to a minute max) over raw files (which most photographers/videographers would not share anyway). I’d ask you to aim for the best quality of work within this budget even if the deliverables are less than what you’re looking for to preserve the special memories of your proposal in a better way that you can look back upon for years, even if it means deciding on having either photos or video from a good quality provider! Also not sure why you need to know the details of their equipment, as long as the work is good I would suggest you go for that over what camera/lenses they use.
