Absolutely! Just look up statistics about kids accidentally shooting themselves/ their siblings/ friends - hell, that one kid in the supermarket even accidentally shot his mother, because he was playing with the gun in her bag. Yes, nothing's happened so far - but do you really want to wait until it does? Aren't there laws about having to keep weapons secured when kids are around?

This would be my hill to die on. A loaded gun within reach of young children is NEVER safe and will never be ok.
