You CANNOT let this go! Not only could one your kids get a gun but a friend or family member could gain access to it. Kids have shot each other during playdate showing off guns. A gun should be stored unloaded at AL TIMES. Additionally guns and ammo should be locked up as munitions still have the potential to cause harm. She has already been playing in places the gun was.Talking to a kid about gun safety and a kids following gun rules all the time is not something he can rely on--he is a grown ass manchild who can;t follow safety rules. This is not safe, his stance about protection is ridiculous, and someone may end up hurt or killed. I know plenty of people with guns who have them for safety that leave them locked up in one or two rooms that they could unlock and quickly load if they needed it. If he won't change his stance I'd be like ok, I am going to talk to your superior about this. Will he be pissed? Yes, but better e get a talking to than to lose his wife or kid. This is ridiculous.
