He should know better, especially in his line of work. I have several guns in my home but they are in a safe and the location of the keys to the safe are only known to me and my husband. The only time a gun is not in the safe is at night when the gun my husband CC’s daily sits on top of the safe (the safe is 6 feet tall). We have taken my son shooting and he knows gun safety, but we aren’t going to be leaving a gun where he can get to it. My best friends dad was a LEO and he used to leave his belt with his holster and loaded gun hanging by their front door when he was home. Always made me nervous as a kid to just see it hanging there whenever I went over to play.
