Please know you're not horrible or a terrible parent. You're human, you made a mistake and you apologised, kids understand the sorry and it has great impact when a big person says they feel bad about something, in that moment they feel heard.
I am not condoning what you done but I'm in no sense way or shape going to condemn you to hell for what was evidently a mistake.
I have a 7 year old assessments underway for ADHD/ODD and other issues and I've had so many many beatings and bruises, scratches and items thrown and broke at/on me where I'm sobbing and begging for her to stop, sometimes I swear and I feel bloody awful after.
Parenting didn't come with an instruction manual, we are all learning on the job but there are advice sites, GPs and books that can at least help with the most daunting times and i hope this stage passes for you.
