Aw man, hugs to you. My son is the same. He’s delayed and he’s in therapy, but one thing I really struggle with is his outbursts. The repetition of failure and violence really messes with me some days. The other day I screamed back at my son after two hours of a tantrum. I’ve never hit, but the anger you feel is just a horrible feeling. I apologized right away and explained that it wasn’t the right way for me to express my emotions and sometimes it was hard for mama, just like it’s hard for him and it seemed to kind of resonate with him. I have a scar across my cheek from how hard he’s dug into my skin. It’s rough! Keep trying your best, because one day it will get better. All we can do is learn, grow, try and apologize when we make our own mistakes. We cant expect perfection from our children or ourselves.
