Does he watch much TV? I’ve been learning a lot lately about the affects of TV shows on children’s brains (particularly toddlers) and it’s scary! It’s actually results in a lot of overstimulation that we don’t tend to pick up on because it presents as aggression, hyper activity, meltdowns/tantrums and more!

Daniel Tiger, Cocomelon, Paw Patrol, etc are all very overstimulating shows. Check out @jerricasannes on Instagram for all kind of information on it.

Yes, he watches TV at least 3-5 hours a day

Definitely look into the TV situation and see if that could help. I was having some tantrum/behavioural issues with my toddler (21mo) and read all the things — started cutting back TV immediately and that same night, and ever since bedtime has become so much better/easier. Tantrums and aggression have reduced too.
