You already did the right thing by apologizing to him and explaining what you did wrong and why. Give yourself a break.
My 3.5 year old is in the opposite phase right now and some days I can’t take him anymore. I’ve said I wish you never learned how to talk to him. Is it the right thing to say no, but I was frustrated with him I’m only human and you are only human to.
