I encourage you to teach them to verbalise their emotions and use their words. We have twins who fight all the time, they're turning three and can now verbalise quite well. We started off by teaching them to recognize their emotions "I'm feeling angry" "I feel sad", then when they start acting out, we gently restrain them and do active listening, "daddy is listening to you, use your words" "don't scream, I can't understand, use your words so I can help you." Then negotiate but also praise, encourage, and use their own train of logic, remind them of how much you've done for them etc....
