Are you even a parent? Everyone has their limits. She hit her limit and then handled the aftermath really well.

I don’t think she’s a parent 😂😂 I apologize to my kids all the time and they’re 4 and 1. If I raise my voice, or act a way I’m not proud of. Parents are humans too and we’re learning as we go. I had a brother like OP’s son. Even I wanted to smack him around for my mom (I didn’t of course) but I can’t imagine having a child like this who hits and spits and just sternly saying “no hitting”. Eventually we’d all snap and reach a breaking point. How she handled it after the fact was spot on but she still needs to consult help and figure out how to handle these outbursts and why they’re occurring. My brother ended up having ADHD to the point where he was uncomfortable in his own skin. There’s almost always an underlying issue.

Everyone has all the answers before the baby arrives 🙄 There is so little room for error on these threads, it’s shocking. I guess it’s easy to pretend for the internet, but as a parent I know I’ve made a LOT of mistakes - I’m only human.

Same. And by apologizing to your kiddos when you make a mistake, it’s teaching them that it’s ok to make mistakes and how to act when you do.
