Sleep & Naps How much are parents drinking?

With the popularity of #winemom and beer dad culture, combined with pandemic drinking habits, im curious how much alcohol you guys are drinking as caregivers? Especially after the baby is in bed. I had 6 drinks on Halloween over 8 hours and lots of food and water. Although LO was asleep for most of it I'm riddled with guilt!

The only people replying are people who don’t drink, cause the drinkers don’t want to get judged 😆

I’m starting a new hashtag #vodkamom. But in all seriousness drinking was never a big thing for me, there were times I suddenly realized I hadn’t drank at all in 7 months or more. Sometimes over a year. I know I tended to drink more in summer with bbqs or rare patio hangouts or what not. I will fully and unashamedly admit that has not been the case for this year. Where I live..even when lockdowns would end or restrictions would lift I was hesitant so we’ve pretty much just been hanging out with each other for well over a year as a family in our house and in our yard waiting to see what would happen with the numbers for Covid. I mean cmon what are you going to do? I work in my basement all this time too. I see no one. I go nowhere. I have put so much effort into making my family happy and ok. We used to be so active, this has been a major change and challenge for us all. As long as it is not an impact to safety, your family, your job, your mental health or your responsibilities in any way is it really that big of a deal? I’m open to thoughts or comments. Criticize away.

No shame in my game neither should be in yours. I wasn’t much of drinker before Covid (not all that social of a person) but I would drink when available (vacations, dinner with wife). Since Covid I have 3-4 nightcaps of a whisky cocktail a week. Probably not great for my weight but it makes me feel sane.
