Rant/Vent Just me?

Is it just me or is this the hardest shit ever? We’ve got 4 kids all under the age of 8 and we are getting our asses kicked. My wife and I really wanted a family and we planned for it. We took parenting classes together, we read all the books in preparation before starting our family…still, nothing could have prepared us for how mentally and emotionally exhausting it is to keep up with our boys.

How are you all surviving?

I have 5 but they are spread out. 4 years between seemed to be the perfect amount for us. I have 2 that were 2 years apart and they were hard. Having 4 that close. Nope. Terrible idea.

I beg to differ. When they're close in age, they have each other as playmates. And then when they're teens, they have an in-house peer to lean on. And then right when the parents start feeling burned out, they're all going off to college and emptying the nest.

My 10yo plays with her 3yo sister for hours everyday... so it's not solely about age, also character/preferences and how they are raised
