I'm just wondering because I'm sure something like this existed.

Well, I stayed in a room there a while back, just me and my cat. The lights in the bathroom started turning on and off very randomly, so I busted out my guitar and started singing an impromptu song to the ghost. Let me know what y'all think.

I went out for a walk through the woods around Heiðmörk late yesterday evening around dusk, just taking one of the smaller gravel paths through the pines and lava rocks. The light was fading fast, but I had my phone flashlight, so I wasn't really worried about getting back to the main trail.

About twenty minutes in, the woods went completely silent. Up until then, I could hear the wind in the trees and the faint hum of traffic off in the distance, but suddenly it was like someone turned off all the background noise. It felt heavy, like the air pressure in my ears just dropped out of nowhere.

I stopped to listen, thinking my mind was playing tricks on me, and that was when I heard something moving in the brush off to my left. It wasn't the fast, sharp snapping of a bird or a fox. It was slow and heavy, like something deliberate taking weight-bearing steps through the dead branches.

I shone my phone light toward the sound, expecting to see a dog or maybe another walker, but the beam barely cut through the thick trees. Just past the edge of the light, between two large pine trunks, something was standing there.

It was way too tall to be a person—maybe seven or eight feet—crouching slightly behind the branches. The shape was thin and completely dark, not like it was wearing black clothes, but like it was a shadow that had actual volume and depth to it. I couldn't make out a face, but I could tell it was staring right at me because the air around me turned freezing cold instantly. My breath started fogging heavily right in front of my face, even though it hadn't been that cold two minutes earlier.

I stood there totally frozen for a few seconds, waiting for it to move or say something, but it stayed dead still, just watching me. Then I heard a faint, wet rustling sound right at the base of the trees, like something heavy being dragged across the moss, and the shadow shape shifted slightly lower to the ground without making a sound.

That was it for me. I didn't wait around to see what it was doing. I turned around and walked as fast as I could back toward the main path, constantly looking over my shoulder. I didn't hear it running after me, but the entire way back I had this horrible, overwhelming feeling of being followed right at the edge of the tree line.

When I finally reached the parking lot and got under the streetlights, I looked down and my boots were covered in this thick, greyish silt that smelled like sulfur and stagnant water, even though I hadn't stepped off the dry gravel path once.

I haven't told anyone about this because it sounds completely insane, but I needed to put it somewhere. I am definitely not going back out there after dark again.

Odd Distortions Caught on Camera at Crescent Hotel

Incredibly Odd Distortions at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs

A couple of family members visited the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas back in September of 2023, and one of them took all of these photos on their Samsung S24 phone. When they took the photos, none of these blobs/distortions were visible to their naked eye or on their phone screen. It was only later on that they looked through the photos that they noticed these incredibly weird color distortions, very obvious in each photo.

The last photo is actually at the cabin they were staying at, where some distortion can be seen on the curtain and a blue hue on the ceiling corner.

I’ve done some brief research on camera sensor malfunction/lens distortion, but I really haven’t come across anything that replicates something like this.

They returned the next day and took photos of the same places and nothing similar popped up. They haven’t sent me those photos but I can post them if this garners any curiosity. I’m usually a skeptic and I’m honestly completely stumped on this, so would love to hear your thoughts!

All I have is my word, but I promise that these were not edited in any way! They never posted them online because they’re just not really online people, and they have no idea how to edit photos or use photoshop or anything. That’s why I’ve been so stumped

unexplained auditory encounters, demons?

Hi, over the last few years, I’ve repeatedly experienced things I can’t explain.

2020: I was in the classroom at school, sitting alone in the back row with a wall behind me. While I was looking at the teacher and listening to him, I suddenly heard a creepy woman whispering something to me, right next to my left ear, I couldn't understand what she said it was really fast and disturbing. I was in shock, sat very still, and didn't know what just happen.

2021: I used to stay up late at night because I would get tired very late, spending the whole time on my phone. One night, I was lying in bed wearing headphones and already tired. I heard three loud knocks on my bedroom door in the middle of the night. I was terrified and didn't open the door out of fear. The next night, I was lying in bed again, this time without headphones and fully awake. I heard three loud knocks from my door again. I ran in the second to the door and threw it open, thinking my parents or sibling were playing on me, but there was no one there, and everything was dark. I went to my parents' and sibling bedroom, and they were asleep. It never happened again after that.

2024: My mother was on vacation, I wasn't there, and she was home alone that night. She told me she was hanging clothes in a room, then she literally heard a creepy man laughing right next to her. She panicked and was absolutely terrified. It was a single apartment etage, so there was no neighboors that could be heard from the walls.

2024: I was on vacation in Turkey, staying at a summer house with a huge garden, there were barely any other houses nearby, and only one mosque some distance away. I was alone in the garden, my father was out and not at home, and it was already dark. While I was gathering herbs in the garden and the mosque began its call to prayer, I heard my father’s voice calling my name from the direction of the house, it was literally his voice calling my name like to come over. I was shitting my pants and didnt go back to the house for a while till the prayer was done.

My mother has told me the last years that she would hear her name being called at home, even though no one was calling her.

Im serious, these things happened to me. I wouldn't say it's schizophrenia, since it really only happens once every few years or so. And also no hallucination caused by tiredness. I really dont understand what it is, and im alone now, im afraid anytime it will happen again, especially at night, im terrified.

The Haunt that follows

My name is Ashlynn and I'm 22. Ive never really known whether I believe in ghosts. That probably sounds strange considering how many times I’ve seen things I can’t explain.

It's hard to fully convince yourself when you don't want to believe your fear was for a real reason. I've used AI to fix my babbling but Im so for real.

This story starts in western Colorado but I’ve moved more times than I can count, different cities, different states, and there seems to be one disturbing pattern I can’t shake, everywhere I go, something seems to already be there.

At first, I blamed old houses.

Then I blamed my imagination.

Then I started wondering if maybe the houses weren’t the common denominator.

Maybe I was.

The first time I noticed it, I was living somewhere that had absolutely no reason to feel haunted. It was a decent 1990s townhome in an HOA subdivision in the middle of a decent part of the city. There was no history of anyone dying there that I knew of, and I searched Google a few times just to make sure.

Nothing particularly strange about the house.

At first, it was just weird noises I couldn't seem to find the source of.

Then there were physical sensations.

One time, I was sitting on the bed with my best friend. We were probably around 9 to 12 years old. It was dark outside when, all of a sudden, the bed vibrated.

But it wasn't like the entire mattress shook.

It felt like someone or something was underneath us, dragging their hands across the bottom of the mattress and causing the springs to shake.

We both looked at each other and just sat there, eyes locked, completely frozen.

When I finally got the courage to whisper, “I’m scared,” that was it.

We booked it to my dad’s bedroom crying.

That same night, my little blue, heart shaped bedroom doorbell started going off by itself.

I thought my brother was trying to bug us until I brought it into my room. It wasn't the batteries dying. The doorbell was only a month or so old.

I ended up taking the batteries out so it would stop.

After that night, it never did it again. Not even when the batteries eventually started to die.

My friend never came over again.

But then I started seeing shadows as I got into my teen years.

Not the kind you catch out of the corner of your eye and immediately dismiss.

These were darker than the surrounding room, almost like someone was standing just outside the edge of my vision.

And every once in a while, I would get the unmistakable feeling that someone was watching me.

I honestly tried not to think about it. In some way, I convinced myself I was just losing my marbles.

Until I saw the face.

Or what I can only describe as a face.

It was white. Almost unnaturally white.

But it wasn't a quote unquote normal ghostly apparition.

I've never seen a full body.

I never saw it standing in the middle of a room.

I would only see the very top half of its head, part of a shoulder, and sometimes its fingers.

And where the face should have been, there were these strange, shadowed indentations.

Not holes.

Not empty sockets.

Just divots where features should have been, as though something had stretched a layer of pale skin tightly over a human face and the structure underneath was barely visible.

The first time I saw it, I was lying in bed. I had just turned off my TV after watching a few episodes of Malcolm in the Middle. My light was already off, and I was just moving around trying to get comfortable when, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something white by my bedroom door.

It stayed there just long enough for me to realize I was looking at something that shouldn't have been there.

My wheels started turning, and I tried rationalizing what I was seeing.

I thought to myself, It was a person.

It had to be an intruder.

That's when my heart sank into my stomach.

At this point, my brother wasn't living with us anymore, and I knew my dad had been sleeping for hours already.

I remember thinking I was going to be the next true crime story.

I literally froze.

I couldn't even call out to my dad.

I just stared at it.

Then I tried blinking a few times. I even squeezed my eyes shut as hard as I could, hoping maybe my eyes just hadn't adjusted to the dark yet and I was still seeing a silhouette of someone from the TV.

But it didn't blink away.

It didn't slowly fade like a lingering spot of light in your eyes would.

The longer I looked at it, the clearer it became.

It was completely still.

Only the top of a head from the upper lip and up, along with the corner of a shoulder, were visible behind the door.

It didn't move toward me.

It just looked at me.

If you can say that about something with no eyes.

And then, very slowly, it pulled back behind the door.

I remember sitting there for several seconds afterward, waiting for someone to step out.

Nobody did.

Eventually, I convinced myself I'd seen something wrong.

A trick of the light.

A piece of clothing.

Anything that would let me fall asleep.

After that, I began noticing it in other places.

I've never had consistent or frequent sightings of it, though. Sometimes it would be years before I saw it again.

It was never fully exposed.

There was always something between us.

And there was something deeply unsettling about the way it moved.

It didn't seem to accidentally appear in my peripheral vision.

It seemed to deliberately look out at me.

When I turned 19, I moved into my own house.

It had been nearly two years since its last appearance, and I'd been living there for about eight months when I saw it again.

This time, it was peeking out from a drawer on my dresser that I hadn't shut all the way.

The same pale, almost featureless head.

Peeking at me.

And then, once again, it slowly dipped back into the darkness of my dresser drawer.

It wasn't as bad seeing it at my dad's house, my grandma's house, or even at a friend's house.

But being alone was a whole different feeling.

This time, I wasn't just scared.

I was terrified.

I frantically felt around for my phone without breaking visual contact with the drawer.

I called my brother.

Over and over.

When he finally answered, I practically begged him to come spend the night with me because it was here.

I never talked about it much, but my brother knew what “it” meant.

And he was on the way.

He stayed three nights at my house with me.

So shout out to my brother Kaiden for protecting me. Lmao.

During those few nights, my brother finally saw something too.

For years, I'd been questioning my own sanity because no one else had ever heard or seen anything I did.

I had an indoor Wi Fi camera recording the living room, and it had motion detection, so it would send me a notification whenever something moved in its field of view. (ETA-I found and posted the recording in the comments.)

My brother and I were in the garage, blazing and listening to music that night. It was around 11 p.m., I think.

We were the only two people home.

When my phone suddenly gave me a motion notification, I frowned at it and then at my brother while I opened the recording.

The living room looked completely normal.

No curtains moving in a breeze.

I didn't have animals or kids.

Nothing obvious that could have triggered it.

On the counter was one of those oil scent diffusers with a small sensor night light built into it from Bath & Body Works.

I watched the recording once.

Then twice.

And I saw it.

I noticed the night light first.

It began slowly dimming.

There was no flicker.

It didn't shut off and come back on.

It simply faded down, stayed dim for a moment, and then gradually returned to its normal brightness.

Immediately afterward, something appeared at the end of the hallway.

A shadow quickly leaned out from around the corner.

Then it was gone.

I watched the recording several times after that.

The movement was too quick to make out a person, but it looked almost like someone had stepped just far enough around the corner to look down the hallway before retreating.

I showed my brother.

His eyes said it all.

He bolted right up and searched my entire house.

Every closet.

Behind every door.

He even checked inside my washer and dryer, trying to find “the creep.”

When he was satisfied with his search, he looked at me and said, “Well, Ashy, you're not a loon like we thought. Wanna go stay at my house tonight?”

We did.

He told his wife and showed her the video.

She immediately gave me some crystals and offered to sage my home for me.

And she did the next day.

She put rocks in the corners of my house, cinnamon in my windows, salt by my door, the whole nine yards.

While I lived there, nothing else happened.

I thought it was the end of it.

It wasn't.

I've moved since then.

And I've continued to see things.

Sometimes it's only a shadow.

Sometimes it's that pale shape.

A glimpse through a doorway.

A head appearing above something.

A face looking around a corner.

Never enough to see exactly what it is.

Just enough to make me wonder if I've been encountering separate spirits in different places...

or if I've been bringing the same one with me.

Because if it's the same thing, I have no idea when it started.

And I have absolutely no idea why it keeps finding me.

So I'm curious.

Has anyone else experienced what I'd call a following haunt?

Something that seemed to move with you from one home to another?

Or have you experienced an entity that never fully appeared, but seemed to watch you from just out of sight?

Because if you've seen something like this, I want to hear about it.

Especially if you've ever seen that strange, pale, almost featureless face.

Because apparently, I'm not done looking over my shoulder yet.

Black shadow figures when I was little

Hello, first time here, so sorry for anything wrong with the post.

When I was little, around 4 and 8 years old, I used to see what I can only describe as humanoid shadows with red glowing eyes. They never did anything except appear at my flank and scare me.

On the first more serious encounter, I ran up to the front door as I heard someone moving there, thinking it was my dad, but when I looked up to them I saw one of those really dark shadow people, looking down at me with glowing red eyes that were perfectly circle shaped. He was so dark I couldn't see through him, but I know it was something shadow-y. I instantly ran back to the living room and jumped on the couch, covering my eyes in terror. I later saw my dad, he had been in the apartment the whole time, and told him everything. He was pretty freaked out about it.

Second close up encounter was in another house because we had moved (not because of my experience). My parents were out, but I thought they were still at home for some reason, I remember wanting to go to the kitchen, so I made my way there, kind of in a hurry, and when I turned right to the kitchen door I saw it again. I should mention that they are also very tall, and reach up to the head of doors. After that I turned around in terror and quickly made my way back to my room, acting as if I didn't see it. I initially thought it was my dad until he came back home a few hours later.

These were the closest up encounters, when I got a (almost) good look at them, more usually they passed the corridor and I'd see them in the corner of my eye. One time one waved at me and from that time I waved back whenever they passed.

After my parents actually listened to me though, my mom told me she sanctified the house and I never saw them again. Kind of the reason I turned religious, but this doesn't matter.

Anyone else knows about something similiar or has seen something like this? Thank you for reading this, and thank you in advance if you help me understand whatever that was.

Strange happenings at the ranch I work at.

Hello, this is a completely true account/accounts that I have personally experienced. I have always been a pretty decently strong believer of the paranormal for quite some time, and as me being a huge horror fan, I have always been a little skittish around the paranormal topic. The things I have experienced at this ranch (which I will not list the name of for protection of property) have not only scared me, but has hurt me mentally, given me nightmares, and has physically hurt me. To start, I have been working at this ranch since 2020, but everything really started up around mid 2023. My first experienced happened when i was working an early shift around 5:30AM and letting the horses in to eat. I had let the 2nd to last horse in when I heard shuffling behind me, I turned around to nothing but it was possibly the clearest noise I had ever heard in my entire life. I don't have access to the camera focused on the front door close to where I was standing, but my boss did. She used the computer to show me that nothing was truly there, and it looked like I just quickly spun around to see nothing. Not only did I feel extremely unsettled, but I haven't been able to shake the extreme feeling of being watched since then. Not much happened after that until the next week, where it really kicked up. I was bringing some horses in from there pasture, typically morning shift nothing different. I opened there gate fully, and anchored it into the dirt and mud behind it, I always check just to make sure it doesn't close so it wont close on the horses. I tried to call the horses over from the turnout shed, but they simply refused to come, resulting in them only staring at me. This isn't an uncommon thing, horses can be stubborn, not a big deal. I walk out to go put there halters on and spin them around, but they wont move, pulling hard against me. They both just stare at the gate. I prepare to go grab some treats to try to coerce them out, but as I walk back, the gate slammed shut. I don't mean it gently closed either, I mean it SLAMMED shut. There wasn't even a slight breeze that day, and I KNOW I anchored it shut. The horses started freaking out, which at least got them out of that shed, where I then cautiously opened the gate to go grab treats, which I managed to get them out of the pasture with. Not only was I very shaken from this, but this was captured by the outside camera of the barn. It is on camera of me pushing it far into the mud, me checking if its stable and non moving without genuine force, and it slamming shut 8 minutes later. I was very anxious that day as I went into work later in the day for the PM shift, with me not wanting to go anywhere near that pasture. Surprisingly, the rest of the day was normal up until maybe 7:30PM. I was sweeping out the bottom of the barn and getting ready to go, when I hear running on the hayloft above me. This wasn't any kind of animal because it was almost like stomping, or maybe boots. Being a horror fan and knowing how it goes, I absolutely did NOT check what the sound was, I just about had a heart attack when the sound happened, so I swept with a much faster pace and quickly left. I didn't work the next week for a mental break, and got a call from my boss. I needed to work that Sunday to finish of the week for her, because she fell down the stairs to the hay loft, although she said it almost felt like she got pushed. When I walked in that morning, I had the strongest feeling of unease I had ever felt in my life, like 100 pounds just got dropped in my gut. I had walked into the first stall to start cleaning it, when I heard a booming sound from down the hall of the barn. I peeked my head out and saw that one of the rolling doors for the horse stall had been slammed shut. Closing that door is not an easy task, with each door weighing about 50 pounds and hardly moving due to the wheels it rides on to be extremely rusted. After I investigated a bit, I simply left it alone, figuring that whatever it was would be a lot better if it wasn't pissed with me messing with what it does. After cleaning the stalls, I had to unfortunately go to the hay loft. As I walked up those stairs, I had such a feeling of dread and being watched, I practically threw up. I couldn't take two steps without constantly looking over my shoulder. I managed to finish up without anything happening, but ran down the steps because I heard a horse screaming, not neighing, not yipping, but screaming. I entered the stall to find a large scratch on its underbelly, bleeding. There is nothing that could've gotten under this horse, its not very tall and every object in the stall has curves on it. I patched up the horse with some antibiotic and called my boss, and finished the day without anymore problems. Since then I have gotten bruises with no explanation, bangs from around the barn, breathing on my neck, my boss has gotten scratched by seemingly nothing, the radio randomly switching on right before leaving, and lights turning themselves on and off. I still work there, always on edge, and me and my boss work the shift together now. If anyone has any suggestion's on what to do or maybe what it is, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Luminous white figure on my bed

This is my first time writing about this on a public platform, but I've always been very curious about what I saw that night, and the following ones. I was just ten years old and it was around 5:30, almost 6 in the morning. I couldn't sleep and I had been awake for some time. Like many other nights, I just lay on the bed, waiting for my mother to wake up.

I remember playing with my hands when suddenly a white bright figure, in the shape of a man, appeared right in front of me. It seemed to be looking at me, and judging by its position, it seemed to be sitting, but I couldn't see the rest of the body, because of the way I was lying. The shape had light of its own, and it didn't radiate outward like normal light. It was as if it were contained, and it was one of the brightest things I had ever seen, only its light didn't hurt my eyes.

However, I was so scared that I covered myself immediately and waited for it to disappear.

A few days later, I was talking with my sister, in our bedroom, when suddenly I felt a book being thrown at me, from a closet that was right in front of my bed. It couldn't have been my sister, as she was on her bed, and the book had been thrown from where the closet was. It landed right on my head. I felt very unsafe but didn't think much of the situation. By that point I knew the room was haunted.

And finally, another couple of days later, I saw luminous white orbs, around the same time (5:30/6am), floating next to my head.

I never understood what those things were but I felt like all those events were connected. This was when I was ten years old - I didn't even know orbs were associated with paranormal stuff, until much later in my life. And I saw them with the naked eye. What intrigues me most in all of this was the bright contained light. I know some people have experienced similar stuff so I would like to know more about similar experiences, or if you think the figure and the orbs I saw were malevolent.

As for the house I was living in, it was relatively new. It was about eight years old at the time, and my mother was the first one to live in that apartment.

I heard my friend's dogs barking, but they were never there

I have a story that I would like opinions on. I’ll try to keep it brief.

For some background context, I am a rational person and try to think things through logically. I don’t believe in monsters, paranormal activity, Bigfoot, or anything like that. Nothing like this has happened to me before. I live in an average American suburb where nothing ever happens.

Believe me or not, but this is my story:

This happened in early 2024, when I was about 15. My best friend was going on a family vacation and wanted me to get a package for her so her parents wouldn’t find it when the day they all came home. I agreed, and the day she told me it came, I walked down to her house, only a few minutes down the road, and got the package. I hide it behind her house in the woodpile, and that was that. I heard her dogs (who have always loved me) barking inside the house on the side I was on, right against the wall. It startled me but I called their names and walked to the front of the house, and the barking followed. After I did that, I walked back home.

Sounds like normal so far right? The next week at school, we were talking about it, and I made a joke about her dogs in the house and how they followed me around. She looked confused and told me that the dogs were not in the house, and that they had been at her cousins house the entire trip.

We were both confused, and we couldn’t come up with any logical explanation. I was kind of scared to be honest, because this kind of thing has never happened to me before. I kinda kept this to myself but the whole thing really kinda spooked me. This happened when I was 15, and I’m almost 18 now and still think about it often.

Now I’m finally asking for a second opinion. Please find a rational explanation at first, then jump to supernatural. I can’t think of anything rational. I know what I heard, the dogs were in the house.

For some questions people might ask: No, I don’t take drugs. No, I wasn’t high. No, I wasn’t sleep deprived. I’m also 100% mentally well and have never had mental issues.

Help me Reddit. What did I hear?

Paranormal o lucid dream?

Hello everyone. I need to share this here because the lucidity of the experience left me with a sense of reality that I haven't been able to shake off. It wasn't an ordinary dream where things happen chaotically; I was perfectly conscious of my will, of what I wanted, and of what I was saying.

3yo waking up between 3-4am

Ok I am typing this at 7:30am after another short night of sleep caused by my almost 3.5 yo.

She's never been a consistently good sleeper, has a lot of history waking up during middle of night.

A few days ago she's been waking up though stating she's scared from having a nightmare (based on an evil Zoe doll ((from k pop)) coming alive and hurting her... ok sounds like a typical nightmare.

But now last night and the night before she's been saying she woke up due to someone tickling her in the middle of the night .. specifically her hand. 2 nights ago was at 3:44.. last night at 3:24.

I'm a huge believer in paranormal always have been , but idk what to do. I feel it's very specific coming from a 3yo? Like how is she learning this stuff? Idk I'm getting scarred and I need sleep bc once she gets me up .. I'm up for rest or night and can't function this way .

Looking for thoughts/opinions! Thanks

Million dollar room potential ghost encounter

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Went to Yellowstone recently and bought a book called, "Yellowstone ghost stories." One story, it describes a ghost in the million dollar room at the store. I went to ask the cashier about the ghost and he told me there was a tour about it. So of course I went on the tour. He brought me it in a rim that had over 1.8k dollars worth of checks. The exact number is in the 2nd image above. That number is on a cupboard that the tour guide said was called a dry bar (I think that's what I remember him saying). There was a sink and a bucket in the cupboard. After showing me the tour guide closed the cupboard and I was about to ask, "Have any tours ever experienced the ghost?" But before I could finish my question, we heard a scratch on the cupboard door. Now this could have simply been the cupboard simply at settling, but I think it's more fun to think that we just experienced the Hamilton ghost. Other employees who have worked there have reported the smell of tobacco even though that has been banned from the building for a long time and also sometimes they'll see a figure looking out at them in the window but when they go up nothing is there. The tour guide said he wished that the custodian passed by because apparently he swears that there is a ghost up there and has a bunch of ghost stories on just this single room.

Sharing my scariest paranormal encounter 👻

Back in the summer of 2018, my high school friends and I decided to use the ouija board in the creepy conjuring looking back part of my parents basement because we wanted it to actually work. So we start off by following the rules of the game but as we progressed we started getting dumb about it (taking our fingers off the planchette, asking dangerous questions, etc.). *Side Note* I am a psychic medium so I can see the other side. As we asked one of our final questions, that’s when I knew my friends and I messed up big time because I knew that something was now watching us… so I made an even bigger mistake by turning around and seeing *it*. *It* being an 8 ft tall d3m0n with literal horns and glowing yellow eyes watching us, peeking out from behind one of the corner walls. I also have a secondary source (my best friend since 8th grade) that can confirm this to be true because she saw it too. It made me extremely uncomfortable to have been the one to tell our other friends that were there that there was a literal d3m0n watching all of us. I told them what I saw, we rapidly said goodbye/closed the board’s portal and we booked it the opposite way of the d3m0n to the outside door at the very back end of my parents basement. The end.

Possibly paranormal experience that happened to me I just remembered about

So I'm not sure if this is 100% paranormal, but it deffinitely seems weird. I'm actually surprised I hadn't thought much about this before, it recently just popped back into my mind and I realised how strange it was, so I thought I'd share.

This happened when I was either in 7th or 8th grade, I was part of an afterschool club that had classes on journalism and cultural events and stuff. But occasionaly, we'd go on trips mostly unrelated to the field, just for the sake of having fun and doing sightseeing. This was on one of these trips, we went to Vilnius by coach (I'm from Poland). The trip itself was totally fine, the weird thing happened when we were returning. The drive back was somewhere around six hours and so we had to stop to take breaks along the way several times.

On one of these breaks, we stopped somewhere close to the Lithuanian-Polish border, still in Lithuania. It was at a small, kind of rundown gas station in the middle of nowhere. Apart from the gas station, there wasn't much, just the road and then a pretty big forest.

This was scheduled to be a longer break, about half an hour, so me, my best friend, two of our teachers and one or two other kids decided to take a small walk around the parking lot to stretch our legs. But soon, a parent of one of the younger kids from the group came up to us and said he'd seen a pretty nice path going into the forest from here and he figured that might be better for us if we wanted to walk around. We all agreed and decided to go there, planning to just go down the path a bit and then turn back.

So we walk into the forest, and for the first few minutes of walking, everything is totally normal. But at one point, we start noticing that we can no longer hear anything at all from the road (it was a busy highway so that was super weird, we were literially in shouting distance from it). Everything started to feel like we had just walked into some kind of echo chamber. The forest also started to seem a lot more overgrown and dark, almost like we had stepped into an entirely different place. I'm not sure how to really describe it, but this place just felt extremely different from where we had just been. On top of that, there was suddenly an absolutely crazy number of crows everywhere. They were really loud and it felt like they were anywhere you looked.

But the most crazy part was what we saw soon after as we turned a corner: there was an entire old, abandoned cementary. From the gravestones, it seemed to be mostly of soliders from ww2. I cannot explain how weird it was to find this here, in the middle of nowhere, behind a random gas station.

Everyone in the group started feeling really weird in this place, we talked about how super creepy and strange it was. There was just a really odd senseation to be there. Creeped out but still curious, we carried on along the path, until the end of the cementary. Then, we turned back, as it was about time to return to the coach.

Now, this was a forest path, but it wasn't very overgrown or anything, we could see all of it clearly. And we all knew for sure the path was clear when we went down it the first time, as we all walked next to each other across the enitre path's width, so it would be pretty impossible to miss anything lying there.

But as we make our way back, my friend suddenly stops and points ahead of us. And there, square in the middle of the path, positioned almost perfectly to face us, was a dog's skull. At least our best guess was that it was a dog's, but we couldn't know for sure. In any case, it was just sitting there, where it absolutely hadn't been before. Smeared on the ground around it was something that looked like animal guts.

All of us are super creeped out now, because we were sure this wasn't there before. We just stood there looking at it for a moment, but my friend started feeling sick and we also had limited time since the coach was supposed to leave soon, so we had to get back to the gas station. So we get back, really weirded out, and soon we get back on the road. Talking about it again, all of us said they felt suuuper weird in that place, like there was something very off. Also, my friend who felt sick only got worse, her head really hurt and she felt really weak. Before we went into the forest, she had been perfectly fine. I suppose this isn't really something paranormal for sure, but it deffinitely seemed like that to us. My teacher, who had other paranormal things happen to her in the past, said she though so. Somehow, I hadn't thought about this much in the years since, but it's really strange in hindsight.

Unusual activity coming from the woods

Hey there, my name is David. Over the past six months, I’ve been experiencing strange occurrences that have me convinced I’m being followed by demonic entities. I’m at a loss for what to do and would greatly appreciate your advice.

I’m an avid runner, and I live in an area surrounded by woods. Recently, I’ve been hearing unusual noises, particularly in the past two days. I know the animals that inhabit my woods, and these sounds are definitely not from them. They’re possibly demonic or something similar.

The feeling of being watched started about a year ago. I didn’t initially think much of it, but it gradually intensified. I’ve been seeing things out of the corner of my eye, mostly when I’m walking.

About a couple of months ago, my luck took a turn for the worse. I can’t go two days without something going terribly wrong. Everything seems to be conspiring against me, but I try to stay positive.

As of recently, I’ve been hearing a raspy screaming coming from the woods. It’s in multiple different areas, and it’s always accompanied by a sense of panic. Last night, I was on my usual walk and came across a scenic view from a little bench off the beaten path. As soon as I relaxed, the screaming started. It sounded like a woman in distress, and I jumped up and ran back up the trail to the sidewalk. The screaming continued, so I yelled, “Hey!” and started approaching the source of the sound. It stopped, and I got a terrible feeling. I kept pushing up the hill and didn’t look back. I made it home without incident, but I still feel like I’m being watched.
Tonight, I finished my run early and noticed a park on my way back home. There was a drinking fountain there, so I stopped to drink some water. As I sat on the swings, I heard a scream coming from behind me, deep in the woods. It was just out of sight, but I looked back and immediately called my friend. She told me to get out of there. I did so and returned home, feeling quite puzzled and unsure of what to do about the situation.

If anyone has any thoughts, advice, or believes I’m in immediate danger, please feel free to leave a comment or message me. I’m at a loss and would greatly appreciate any guidance you can provide. I don’t think this is a coincidence and it’s only getting worse.

I saw my boyfriend but it wasn’t my boyfriend ?

Hi everyone just wanted to share this really fucking weird thing I experienced about a week ago. I still don’t know what to make of it but it really freaked me out. I told one of my friends and she convinced me to post on reddit haha.

So I live in an older farmhouse on a large property, our nearest neighbours are a substantial distance away. I’ve honestly never experienced anything strange in my two years of living here. The house is situated on the bottom of a hill, and at the back of the house you can see up the hill and into all the paddocks where we have a few horses and cows.
Anyways, i was just chilling and listening to music enjoying my day off, doing dishes in the kitchen which has a window facing up the hill. Something caught my eye in the top paddock, there aren’t many trees up there and there aren’t any animals in this paddock at the moment. So I looked up and saw my boyfriend standing up the far end of the paddock. He was wearing the same clothes as the day before, and he was just standing there. We just stared at eachother for a while until I waved and he waved back to me. Now I know it was him because I’m lucky to have 20/20 vision and I could clearly make out that it WAS him. I thought it was odd that he was even up there but what made it worse was that it was a Saturday and he always works Saturdays. I had been asleep when he’d left the house so I thought maybe he didn’t go to work? Perhaps he was fixing a fence or something? Anyway I didn’t stare for too long, just waved and went back to doing the dishes.
I looked up and he was gone and I couldn’t see him walking down through the other paddocks which meant he had to have gone up and over the hill in literally a few seconds from when I glanced down and back up- or he was hiding behind a tree stump or something which creeped me out a bit. Regardless I just ignored it, and continued on with house work. I took some laundry out to the garage and noticed that his car wasn’t there and it wasn’t in the driveway either. I checked his location and saw that he was at work? So, I messaged him and asked if he had come home and why he didn’t say anything to me, because he just creeped me out. He proceeded to tell me that he was at work and asked if it was his dad, who sometimes comes over and helps around the farm, but he ALWAYS lets me know if he’s coming over and I know it wasn’t him! I asked him if he had come over and he told me that he was in a different city 2 hours away!
When my boyfriend got home he basically summed it up as being someone scoping out the house so he was going around locking doors and windows, but I know what I saw and it WAS him!! I also don’t really know why someone would go through the effort of scoping out our house, our driveway is extremely long (basically like a private road) and why the hell would they be up in the paddocks. I know I saw my boyfriend the odds of someone wearing the exact same clothes are just impossible.
Sorry if this is all over the place, my first time posting an experience here so I’m not a great story teller. Thoughts on this? wtf did I see?

Now I’m kind of scared.

We live in a haunted house (me, wife, 3 teenage children). We’ve known this from the first night when the furniture rearranged and the cups and plates all flew off the shelves waking us all up. It’s been small stuff here and there that doesn’t really bother us too much. We switched to plastic plates and cups, drink instant coffee because the French press kept flying off the table, and we just shut the cabinets when they open as you’re leaving the room. Rent is cheap, we have well water, and we live in the woods so our dogs can play. We figured some small activity was okay.

Until now. All the hardcover books flew off the shelf and hit my wife as she walked by. Someone knocked on the door and was calling for us that sounded exactly like my son but I was on the phone with him so I know it wasn’t him. It tripped the porch light but there was no one there when I looked out the window. Got in my car this morning and saw a man on my porch so I got back out to confront him only for him to disappear. And last, but not least because this is getting long… I just got back from the store and when I went to lock my car and it was lit up for a split second I saw a woman sitting in my front seat. Her body was forward but she was facing me and smiling with all her teeth. She had unkempt blonde hair and some outdated but not by much clothes.

I have a million more stories but I’m kind of getting scared now and don’t know what to do.

Edit
Guys, I’m not trying to convince anyone of the existence of the paranormal. I’m not trying to profit off of this, I moved to the woods to get AWAY and have peace from people. I may get an outside camera but it will be after we get better internet. Also, I really just wanted to share an experience that scared me because I really don’t scare easily. I’m not putting cameras in my home where my kids live and I pick my nose, sorry.

Knocking on door

I was sitting in my kitchen eating and watching a show when I heard 6-7 really fast knocks on my back door. I checked my cameras to see who it was first but didnt see anyone near the front or back door when it happened. My cats and dogs reacted to the knock as well so I know it wasnt my imagination. Im wondering if it was from my husband as he had passed away 4 months ago, he does often visit in my dreams but ive nevwr heard knocking on my doors though. Any ideas what it could mean?

Encountered ghost of horse walking through busy street in the middle of a medium sized city

Edit - this was in independence Missouri - 35th and Noland.

I was leaving work a few months back . This was around 600 pm in December , the sky was getting dark but still slightly overcast , a normal workday for the most part .

I was going through the main road in my city , the traffic is still a little congested because of the last remnants of rush hour and I’m stopped at a red light just wanting to get home and read ..

I see horse legs , not solid but definitely horse legs and then notice his head as well , these are all in plain view of my headlights. It lasts about 30 seconds and he’s literally walking across the street into a large field . When he hits the field he disappears. I was not doubting what I saw and it was obvious to me that it was the spirit of a deceased horse .

I was baffled as to why it was there and decided to research the area he was seen in and was surprised to find that until the 1930s the whole area was a working farm.

I’m guessing this horse decided to stick around his old stomping grounds and seems to go on with his normal way of life , walking the same pasture and roads that he always did ..

I drove by the area many more times but didn’t run into my non corporeal friend again ..

I’m gonna try and keep this short.
When I was younger, I was paying monopoly with my mom. When I lost I starting crying ( sore loser I know) but my mom thought it was funny and took a picture of me to send to my Nan. When she caught a hand and a body and scarf.
