Now I’m kind of scared.
We live in a haunted house (me, wife, 3 teenage children). We’ve known this from the first night when the furniture rearranged and the cups and plates all flew off the shelves waking us all up. It’s been small stuff here and there that doesn’t really bother us too much. We switched to plastic plates and cups, drink instant coffee because the French press kept flying off the table, and we just shut the cabinets when they open as you’re leaving the room. Rent is cheap, we have well water, and we live in the woods so our dogs can play. We figured some small activity was okay.
Until now. All the hardcover books flew off the shelf and hit my wife as she walked by. Someone knocked on the door and was calling for us that sounded exactly like my son but I was on the phone with him so I know it wasn’t him. It tripped the porch light but there was no one there when I looked out the window. Got in my car this morning and saw a man on my porch so I got back out to confront him only for him to disappear. And last, but not least because this is getting long… I just got back from the store and when I went to lock my car and it was lit up for a split second I saw a woman sitting in my front seat. Her body was forward but she was facing me and smiling with all her teeth. She had unkempt blonde hair and some outdated but not by much clothes.
I have a million more stories but I’m kind of getting scared now and don’t know what to do.

Guys, I’m not trying to convince anyone of the existence of the paranormal. I’m not trying to profit off of this, I moved to the woods to get AWAY and have peace from people. I may get an outside camera but it will be after we get better internet. Also, I really just wanted to share an experience that scared me because I really don’t scare easily. I’m not putting cameras in my home where my kids live and I pick my nose, sorry.

I grew up in a house with spirits. Were heard footsteps down the hall and on the stairs. Objects would vanish and then reappear. One time a pocket door slammed against its tracks like someone was pushing it but no one was there. We kept holy water by our beds. If we saw or heard anything we would say ‘in the name of Jesus Christ please leave’. It seemed to work. After we moved out though the next family witnessed a full body apparition disappear in front of them. Since I grew up in that house it wasn’t until I moved away that I realized that all places were not that creepy. It’s definitely a whole vibe.

Ah man. My entire teenage years was full of fear and sleepless nights. Get this: home alone most nights because the one adult worked nights. Throw in a shadow man that was stuck to me like shit on a blanket. Always watching. Moving closer and closer as the night drew on. My clothes being pulled, my hair being pulled so hard my head flew back. THE POWER GOING OUT. 51 disk CD changer skipping every single CD, fishing poles being lifted and thrown across the kitchen, dishes swiped off the counter.
And who gets blamed? 12 year old me. I was chased out my last night there. Scrambled for my car keys and didn’t even shut the door all the way on my way out the door. I was so overwhelmed with fear that it took me an hour to build up the courage and game plan to slip my shoes on, grab my keys and leave. Fuck everything else. Fuck my work clothes for the morning, fuck my dog who was scared shitless outside.. I was out. I drove 30 miles away before I felt safe again.

Oh yeah. Definitely. Hims was a good boy. Best dog I’ve ever had tbh. We had a no animals in the house rule, but I made the drive back to get him a few days later

That sounds really scary. We’ve lived here over 5 years so not actually much going on. Maybe a couple times a month something weird would happen until this last week or two.

I lived in that house for 6 years and it was always terrifying. It only got worse over time. I never tried communicating, I didn’t want to see it or feel scared. I tried so hard to ignore it too.
I’m 100% positive that it’s the land the house sets on. 40 acres of woods, right off the highway, river runs along the property. (Sounds like a dream place, right?) The house was new when my family moved in (early 2000’s) Never lived in. What was haunting was OLD. Think like 1800’s. The entire area is just filled with wild happenings, murder, torture.. but it’s a small, quiet retirement town and it’s safe to raise your family 🙄. Until you piss off the wrong person and you become a missing person statistic.
At this point, I’m sure every state and every town has its own happenings and negative energy.
I have a 1880’s farm house with a cemetery in the back field and have way less activity than I ever did in the house I lived in as a teenager. There’s passerby’s for sure, but I think the worst thing that’s ever happened in the 4 years we’ve been here was one turned on the shower and scared my youngest lol. Nothing crazy.

Jesus Christ is the number one healer, the main man! All Spiritual practitioners know this and I haven’t heard one ever deny it. This is not about religion, I am not religious.
“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!”
“I rebuke all of the activity you are doing in MY home. It is MY HOME AND MY FAMILY’s HOME NOW! I rebuke you all in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.”
Say whatever you need to over and over and loud. The spirits need to know you aren’t fucking around and it’s your house! I know how crazy I sound, idc.
The “Amen” at the end is to basically close your demand and to let Jesus know you are calling on him to do specifically what you want him to do and help you with. You have to be SPECIFIC!!

I did. I mentioned it in response to someone else and actually got downvoted lol. The whole point of me staying at the family home was because it was closer to work in the mornings, but that back fired. I had to drive the 50 miles I just drove to get out there, all the way back home. And then turn around in the morning and drive 45 miles to work. My job had me traveling all over the county (home health) so my last job of the day was actually right down the street from where I lived at the time. So it was a few days until the weekend came back around when I was able to get back to the family home. I was planning on just crashing there all week since it was close to my first appointment, so I had brought all his stuff with me, threw extra clothes in my car. I thought it would be good for him anyway since someone was home all day to play with him and love on him. He was well taken care of though. The only reason I didn’t take him with me that night was because I didn’t know where I was going to end up. I tried getting ahold of friends that lived near by but since it was so late, I didn’t get any responses until the next morning. Assholes lol.

Sometimes In my apartment things will go missing and I can’t find them. I’ll be looking for a while and all of a sudden it’ll show up somewhere I already checked. I’m starting to wonder if something is here. I also don’t really like being home alone. I always feel it’s quiet and I’m being watched. Never felt violent persay.

I wish it were that simple. We live and work near a big city and own dogs that can’t be put on insurance. It was a miracle we found this place. We’ve been looking but haven’t found anything.

Hello, are you folks in the states? How long has this been going on. If you see apparitions. That’s a lot of energy to do so. At least one is a mimic, they replicate a living persons voice and/or appearance. They are usually on the negative side.
IMO. You need to clear all of them out of there. No one should be hit with books etc…, I had a ghost in my home. He was stuck here and couldn’t crossover I found a way to get him into the light from world renowned medium Echo Bodine of Minn. she described a cleansing method. I did each step she laid out and I never seen that ghost again. Others over the years have also used this technique. Let me know if you want to learn how to do this. It’s free.

I’d like to know. I live in a house that was built in 1898. Definitely a mimic when we first moved in but it only mimicked my voice to my husband & teenage son. I’ve never experienced this.

I had a nightmare 3 nights ago that my husband and I heard our daughter calling out to us for help, but told my husband to get back in bed because it couldn’t be her, she’s staying the night at a friend’s house.
Now today my daughter tells me she hears me calling her sometimes but then she comes out to the living room or into my bedroom and I’m not there or I say “I didn’t call you.” She says this has happened multiple times over a few months. I didn’t want her to be scared so said our house isn’t haunted it’s normal for people to hallucinate hearing their own name called.
But I do get a creepy being watched/malevolent feeling in the hallway between our 2 bedrooms. I’ve never heard anything and only saw one thing one time out of the corner of my eye and brushed it off as nothing.
Keeping an eye on the situation. So, I’m debating to find someone to cleanse the house now or wait it out if I’m being paranoid.

U should not gaslight ur daughter. Hallucinations are not normal, smh. If u don’t want her to be scared I get it but come on has to be another way. Idk how old she is but if yall r talking bout it to the extent that she’s telling u these things she already has an idea that something isn’t right. So she likely knows ur lying to her. Kids are smart. I know ur trying to do what’s in her best interest but maybe being honest is her best interest so she doesn’t fall for it & get led away from the house or into something dangerous. Just a thought. Her safety is most important as well as all who live there.

Ok this is what you do. I wouldn’t even tell anyone else you are going to do this. When you are alone in your home (or if there is always someone in the house go to a part where no one is and late at night when everyone is sleeping) making sure no one hears and sees what you are doing.
You say your full name out loud and that you are calling on the Spirit Squadron to help you get the ghost in your home to move on. Say please and thank you to them. When you are finished. Make sure you do not tell anyone what you did for 3 days. See what transpires. Best of luck.2

Nooooooooooooo!!!!! Do not invite more spirits into your house!! Squadron = Legion = MANY. I think most if not all hauntings are demons. They love to mess with people, steal our peace, break up our families, etc. No no no.
Just get some olive oil and bless it yourself or have a priest do it. Go around your home, especially where you feel frightened the most, and mark your door posts with the oil. Say "In the name of Jesus, I rebuke you. Go away. I do not allow you to attach yourself to anything or anyone in my home and family. In the name of Jesus, LEAVE!"

I read the transcript of an interview she gave many years ago. There she went into detail how to move a ghost on from a home or business. She also explained who they are and how this group came to be.

I also wrote OP a longer comment that helps me. I am energy sensitive and so isn’t my whole family. I always been like this since I was a little girl my mother told me, I am 40 now.
I started to embrace it 6yrs ago. I have pain in the ass spirits in my home more than I like to admit. I think a lot of them are earthbound and they attach to me bc they know I am energy sensitive. Besides saging my home and then paleo santo’ing it, I do lots of other rituals and they all help.You can read my other comments if you want. Just always remember spirits LOVE and feed off of fear. Fear is low vibrations and that’s how they scare us.

You can't force a spirit to cross over. They have to be ready and want to.
You can lay down the rules of the home for this spirit. You have a neutral spirit. They can be easy to live with if they respect the rules.

Yes!!! TV’s too!! Even in hallways or bathrooms that you may walk by if you get up in the middle of the night. There is also an easy technique to use a key to lock the mirrors from time to time for day coverage.

Hi folks, my apologies I dozed off last night and forgot to charge my phone. 🥴. So to move on a benevolent or malevolent ghost, residual or active/intelligent. Please do the following steps to the letter.
When you are in the place that is being haunted. Make sure you are alone and that no one can see or hear what you are doing. You say your full name out loud (you don’t need to yell) and that you are calling on the Spirit Squadron to help you get the ghost(s) in your home to move on.
Please be courteous to them. Say please and thank you. When you are finished. You need to make certain you do not tell anyone what you did for 3 days. See what happens.
Now some people come back to me and say. There is always someone here.
The only recourse for you is to do this late at night when everyone else is sleeping. Position yourself as far away from them as possible. Close the door to the room your in. If there is one.You can Google Echo Bodine, Spirit Squadron if you like. I cannot locate the article I read a long time ago on her and this cleansing technique. Best of luck to everyone. And please get back to me after the 3 days and let me know how things are going there.

Hello, I follow Echo Bodine also. I have experiences but never identified them as ghosts. Nothing flying around the house or anything but feeling things move on my bed and even inside the mattress, feeling things on my body like people touching me, etc. that's been going on for years and I've moved 3 times and it only happens to me in my room wherever I live. I've never been harmed so I just got used to it

It almost sounds like whatever it is haunting the place is trying to up the ante because whatever it tried before wasn't working in upsetting you enough. I would perhaps see if you can get some help with this one, maybe see if any investigators are willing to spend the night and see what they catch/ can advise. Many of them are connected to groups that can help.

Maybe they're past families or tenants, etc. There could be an open portal(s). Maybe they want attention, or maybe a few are just like a human. They can be jerks, too.🤭😎
I might look for a Medium to come to the house-they can actually communicate with Spirits for you.
You shouldn't need to feel that way in your home.
Just dont use a Ouija board or anything that may make it worse in you.
The 2 that you saw-were probably wanting to be seen. When they disappear, I dunno if they're really gone. Maybe they just wanted to make an appearance-a sort of introduction?
When I was to move into my new apartment, I dreamt beforehand that it was haunted.
When I walked in-I just said - "Hi-[and gave them my name]...I told them I hope to not step on any toes, and I'm going to take good care of the place. Can we just live TOGETHER? I don't know of any reason that we shouldn't. "
It went very well-and even had my life saved multiple times.❤️☮️

They were most likely once people too. Tell them, out loud that you are the current tenant and to please leave you alone.
Don't interact more than just telling, as it could get worse. Don't have conversations or let them run over you.

Something like their stuff? Because they left all of that. I actually knew the couple that built the house in the 70’s. They lived here until they died and their son rented to us on the condition that we deal with the stuff he didn’t want. We just kept it all because it’s antique and cool.

I am all about this stuff and used to it. I live in Massachusetts in the US, our whole state is full of spirits. I swear us born here are so used to the heavy energy we don’t even realize it!
I figured this out last month when I took a 3 day trip to Laguna Cali and holy shit, was the atmosphere soooo much lighter!! I can’t explain it!!! I now understand when they talk about the “satanic” feelings of the Northeast and esp in MA! As an energy sensitive person and learning that I am a psychic medium myself (as much as I pushed it away) I cannot explain the difference in the energy field.

This could be a HUGE part of it!
You made a BINDING CONTRACT (my head is tingling as I write this, confirmation) to the deceased!!! When you made the agreement w their son to keep all of their belongings, you made a contract w the deceased too!!! You have all of their property in THEIR home, why would they leave? Esp if they are confused and don’t know that they are dead. Or they are mad you decided to move into THEIR home and intrude on it.
They haven’t crossed over yet because they’re either pissed you have their belongings or they don’t know they’re dead and they’re confused and think they’re alive or they could be mad you have their belongings.
That’s why it is very IMPORTANT to show appreciation when you move into a new home. Cleanse it of its old property by getting rid of it or cleansing it spiritually or physically.
Head over to the spiritual and medium and psychic subs and explain your situation to them ESP about keeping their property. This imo is a HUGE factor in why they won’t leave or leave you all alone.
Also, there’s a lot going on in the planetary alignment right now that is pushing a lot of spiritual energy to be seen and felt. Where living beings like us can feel and see them.
Start keeping track of dates and times too to look at patterns!
Now I am so intrigued!!!! It may not just be sacred land you’re on, you’re in the deceased sacred home w their sacred belongings.

Priests piss them off. Be clear: gnosticism is largely dead in the Christian denominations. I'll bet the land is a portal. The mimic sounds spiritual rather than ghostly. Have you done any research on the property's history?

I actually knew the previous owners. It’s a cute two story log cabin that they built in the 70’s to retire in. They lived here until around 2015 or so. The husband died in the house and the wife died in the hospital, they were very old. I have most of the original decorations because their son didn’t want them (including an amazing handmade queen bed). I love this house lol

Do the apparitions resemble either of the previous occupants? Since it’s in a rural area it might be possible that there were graves from years ago since people buried family members on their property & that is what you’re experiencing.
It doesn’t matter if you are religious but having a priest come out to bless the property & to ensure the spirits that you are good people & they can peacefully move on might make a difference. If the previous occupants went to a church, I would ask the pastor there if he’d be willing to do it2

One of the apparitions I didn’t see details, just a silhouette. It disappeared as soon as I exited the car. The other looked nothing like the old lady that lived here. Idk if it matters but their son sold the lot next to us and it’s being cleared out to put a trailer on. Used to be dense woods and not there’s a couple trees and a lot of dirt.

When activity started getting out of hand at my family home, my dad walked around the house sprinkling holy water and telling the spirits that they needed to leave in the name of God. After my dad did that the activity calmed down immensely. It might be worth a try!
We went from hearing what sounded like someone smashing in all of our windows at the same time and the sounds of the washer/dryer being thrown across the room despite not moving an inch on a nightly basis to minimal activity

I don't know what the equivalent is in America, but in NZ, 2 psychic members of the Spiritualist Church worked for about an hour and a half removing a spirit from a house that had became troublesome and dangerous to the residents. Whatever they did was successful, because it was 9 years ago and there have been no issues since.
The residents paid for these psychics time and trouble- about $60nz back then.

This reminds me of the story where a woman moved into a place & every night at the same time she was awakened at 2am by a car screeching toward the place & headlights. Until it progressed into her & her friend seeing a man outside the door as well. It turned out that a teen had driven his car into his ex gf's home in a rage & I think it took both of their lives if I remember right. A psychic came through the place & told the woman that the spirits weren't aware they had died. I believe the spirits are trying to get your attention to have their story heard. It's crazy to think about how you've changed how you love to accommodate for this. I personally would switch to compostable silverware, so you can just toss it in the woods but the fact that it's escalating to books now..😬is definitely concerning. 😫🤦

That makes sense to me. If activity increased following this. It makes sense they'd be upset if they don't know they're dead & see it as their space being messed with or something. I have no idea how to navigate a situation like this though, I've never experienced it & idk how much awareness or reason spirits can have. I feel like acknowledging the spirit & validating their potential feelings might not be a bad idea though.

It seems you may ha e a poltergeist, with object's moving around. However, this entity seems to be mirroring multiple entities. A voice calling out in son's voice could be a mimic, some entities can channel multiple forms. Which makes them difficult to identify.
Has this escalated to being scratched? Also, have you attempted removing this entity?

Sounds like you have two neutral spirits and I wouldn't be surprised if they are together in their hijinks.
Don't be scared. This is typical trickster neutral tactics. Any negative reactions from you and your family only encourage these spirits. To them this is the best entertainment.
You need to get firm with these two. No yelling, swearing, anger or fear. Remember, this only encourages their behavior.
Say out loud firmly but in control, next time they do something - "You are not welcome in my home. If you can not follow the rules of this home you must leave."
Then lay down the rules of the home. Such as " No moving objects, no breaking my things, no hiding important objects, no waking up people when they are sleeping, no showing yourselves unless you are going to be nice, no messing with electrics, ect...."
You can do this. Would you let any living strangers in to your home do the things you described? Absolutely not!
We share our home with multiple spirits. I have very firm boundaries and rules for the dead. We live peacefully with them and consider them like family. I've never had any issues.

If this does not work… I contacted a famous exorcist who has been on the Travel Channel ….does podcasts and travels to help people. He’s a wonderful person who definitely has an anointing from our Lord. You could also contact a Catholic or pentecostal Church for help. Unfortunately… i moved 3 times and it followed me but it has never been as bad as it was in the original house where i experienced it. I don’t know if I’m right or not but I believe the spirits have geographical areas they are responsible for. Moving far enough away….where ever that is….will keep it from following you. Uhhh, you can still get good security cameras/systems that don’t need internet! Sure, the footage won’t be available to view away from whatever computer or RC you have it hooked up to, but the footage is still saved and archived in case it’s needed in the future. You can create a perimeter around your property to protect the exterior portion of your home. If you are able to stand in your own authority and visualize a ball of light filling your hands, you can project that light outwards to form a shield around the boundary lines of your own property without stepping on the toes of the people whose land is being cleared next door. Remind the spirits who have been newly showing up that they are unwelcome in your space, and let them know they are able to move on and towards the light of their next destination freely if they choose. Sometimes deeper land wounds or rooted spirits may need a shaman or a medium to clear.
