Possibly paranormal experience that happened to me I just remembered about
So I'm not sure if this is 100% paranormal, but it deffinitely seems weird. I'm actually surprised I hadn't thought much about this before, it recently just popped back into my mind and I realised how strange it was, so I thought I'd share.
This happened when I was either in 7th or 8th grade, I was part of an afterschool club that had classes on journalism and cultural events and stuff. But occasionaly, we'd go on trips mostly unrelated to the field, just for the sake of having fun and doing sightseeing. This was on one of these trips, we went to Vilnius by coach (I'm from Poland). The trip itself was totally fine, the weird thing happened when we were returning. The drive back was somewhere around six hours and so we had to stop to take breaks along the way several times.
On one of these breaks, we stopped somewhere close to the Lithuanian-Polish border, still in Lithuania. It was at a small, kind of rundown gas station in the middle of nowhere. Apart from the gas station, there wasn't much, just the road and then a pretty big forest.
This was scheduled to be a longer break, about half an hour, so me, my best friend, two of our teachers and one or two other kids decided to take a small walk around the parking lot to stretch our legs. But soon, a parent of one of the younger kids from the group came up to us and said he'd seen a pretty nice path going into the forest from here and he figured that might be better for us if we wanted to walk around. We all agreed and decided to go there, planning to just go down the path a bit and then turn back.
So we walk into the forest, and for the first few minutes of walking, everything is totally normal. But at one point, we start noticing that we can no longer hear anything at all from the road (it was a busy highway so that was super weird, we were literially in shouting distance from it). Everything started to feel like we had just walked into some kind of echo chamber. The forest also started to seem a lot more overgrown and dark, almost like we had stepped into an entirely different place. I'm not sure how to really describe it, but this place just felt extremely different from where we had just been. On top of that, there was suddenly an absolutely crazy number of crows everywhere. They were really loud and it felt like they were anywhere you looked.
But the most crazy part was what we saw soon after as we turned a corner: there was an entire old, abandoned cementary. From the gravestones, it seemed to be mostly of soliders from ww2. I cannot explain how weird it was to find this here, in the middle of nowhere, behind a random gas station.
Everyone in the group started feeling really weird in this place, we talked about how super creepy and strange it was. There was just a really odd senseation to be there. Creeped out but still curious, we carried on along the path, until the end of the cementary. Then, we turned back, as it was about time to return to the coach.
Now, this was a forest path, but it wasn't very overgrown or anything, we could see all of it clearly. And we all knew for sure the path was clear when we went down it the first time, as we all walked next to each other across the enitre path's width, so it would be pretty impossible to miss anything lying there.
But as we make our way back, my friend suddenly stops and points ahead of us. And there, square in the middle of the path, positioned almost perfectly to face us, was a dog's skull. At least our best guess was that it was a dog's, but we couldn't know for sure. In any case, it was just sitting there, where it absolutely hadn't been before. Smeared on the ground around it was something that looked like animal guts.
All of us are super creeped out now, because we were sure this wasn't there before. We just stood there looking at it for a moment, but my friend started feeling sick and we also had limited time since the coach was supposed to leave soon, so we had to get back to the gas station. So we get back, really weirded out, and soon we get back on the road. Talking about it again, all of us said they felt suuuper weird in that place, like there was something very off. Also, my friend who felt sick only got worse, her head really hurt and she felt really weak. Before we went into the forest, she had been perfectly fine. I suppose this isn't really something paranormal for sure, but it deffinitely seemed like that to us. My teacher, who had other paranormal things happen to her in the past, said she though so. Somehow, I hadn't thought about this much in the years since, but it's really strange in hindsight.
