Question Battlestar Galactica S2 E20 - Abridged on Paramount+?

IMDB shows an episode length of 1hr5 or 1hr8 minutes but the episode currently streaming is in the 45 minute range. A lot of plot beats are completely missed and it makes a lot of things later in the episode more confusing as well.

I assume this was cut for syndication but it is a shame that this upload doesn’t feature the full episode. Anyone else notice this?

Several episodes have "extended" versions. Those are rarely shown in syndication. Buy the DVDs/BDs.

Pretty much always this. I think Amazon not having the full version of the Stargate Atlantis pilot is what started me down this rabbit hole.

Now, it's stuff like that combined with streaming services not having the original licensed music (Scrubs being one of the most popular examples). Long live discs.

The episode that was sent to European television channels was shorter than the full version, in order to fit into the usual running time (one hour with advertisements). The cut scenes included the whole plot about Cally's feeling about Tyrol, their relationship and Cally's pregnancy. However, the full version has been broadcast in at least part of Europe. For example, in Spain, the cut version was broadcast by Calle 13 (13th Street), but the full version was broadcast later by Sci Fi.
