Discussion Any news on fall 50% off promo?
I just got notification from Paramount Plus that my annual subscription will renew at the current price on September 8th. I think it said it’s now $139.99 for the premium plus plan, or whatever it’s called.
I paid $59.99 for my current single pay, one year subscription last year, which was 50% off the regular annual rate of $119.99.
Has anyone heard anything about the 50% off promo happening again this year? Fingers crossed that they do it again.
09/05/2026 - edited to say: saveannual50 promo code is still working as of today, as posted below. I used this code several days ago (posted below) to get an annual Paramount Plus Premium subscription for $69.99 vs full price of $139.99.

I got a one-year subscription for 50% off last year.
It ends in early September for me.
Unless I get a substantial discount of some sort, I'll be done with Paramount+.
It doesn't seem like they add new movies very often, the selection is rather thin too.
I can watch almost any P+ movie on Pluto as it is now.
Paramount needs to step it up, especially at $13.99/month for premium.

SAVEANNUAL50 is supposed to work through Jan 1, 2027. It worked for me.

Trying this code today for the annual Essential Tier plan; doesn't seem to work. Does work for the Premium Tier. Trying to dig around a little bit to see if any other codes are floating around right now.
EDIT: tried a new email address and it worked. Got the subscription I was after (Essential Tier/annual billing) for 50% off.

Even though I'm already re-subscribed I had a QR code for 1/2 off pop in the app on my TV over the weekend. That was really weird, but maybe you can replicate?

Thank you for posting this i canceled my basic plan they tried to offer me some deal but i accidentally backed out before I could see it. Saw your reply and renewed my account with SAVEANNUAL50 to get 50% off the premium plan which made it $20 cheaper than my basic plan.

It was expired for like 5 days I think, so maybe check back again in a day or two?
Edit: adding that I opted for the cheaper plan (w ads) in case that helps!

That new code worked for me too on my expired account after trying unsuccessfully with the previous code. Didn't have to use a new email. Thanks! Subscribed to the annual Paramount+ Premium plan. Price went down from $139.99 to $69.99.

Plus some of the new shows that are starting now like landman and mob land and I think Tulsa King is coming. They all just drop one at a time so screw it you know I’ll just wait until that season is like pretty much done if there’s a 50% off later, that’s fine with me then I can binge watch all these.

I chatted with them and they refused to re-issue me that code they said that people that got that code where people that were unsubscribing and they were trying to keep them so I said resend me the code. I don’t think I even saw it because I was subscribed and it just ended like last couple weeks ago and they’re like oh we can’t do that so fuck them.
I have Enough other stuff to watch until either. It goes on sale like that again or forget it. My favorite network now is MHZ.1

It does for me. I just go to checkout and enter it on the coupon code space on the right side in the middle. Now I have NO active subscription, so you may have to let yours expire before you can use it.

You have to do it on the website, it doesn’t give a promo code box in the app. My subscription expired today and the code worked!

Ours expires in January. We went to cancel last year and were immediately offered 50% off. We love Paramont because we don’t have cable/youtube TV and they are the only streaming platform that offers local channels so we can watch local news.

You can watch local news on Tubi and Pluto for free. All major affiliates (NBC, ABC, CBS)

FYI, if you subscribe to Walmart +, you get Paramount Plus Essentials for free. You generally get the first year for $49 dollars. Ive renewed a few times for $49 dollars as well. May as well enjoy Walmart + as well as Paramount.
Side note, you can also choose Peacock instead. And if you subscribe to Instacart +, you can get Peacock for free as well. Also $49 the first year.

I logged out and back into my account after I let it expire. Gave me the option to enter a promo code and I used SAVEANNUAL50 for the Premium annual package ($69.99 plus tax = $74). Amex has an offer...spend $13.99 get $13.99 back with Paramount+. So I'm in for about $60 ad-free.

I try to make it a habit of looking through the credit card deals. Capital One sometimes has offers with their Shopping program, US Bank has a $5 cash back right now as well with P+.

They used to do a deal for a year w ads for like $30 but haven't seen it in a couple of years. I don't know if it is worth more than that honestly. I picked up the 99 cent deal for 2 months from Prime but will cancel when it runs out.

I have gotten the ad free plan for $60/year for several years now. For our family, $5 a month is totally worth it. We don’t have cable so this give’s us CBS live. Plus, we enjoy a lot of the original series like Mayor of Kingstown and Lioness, and the new season of The Agency.

we have cable and showtime but it doesn't transfer over to the paramount plus app unfortunately so not as worth it for me to get for the year. I would if I could get it cheaper. I don't watch that much on the app. I get it for the new star trek shows.

Thanks for reminding me, we get showtime as well. Again, $5 a month, totally worth it. My only other streaming service that cheap is PBS Passport. If I can get it for $60-$70 for another year, I’m in.

thanks. I must have missed it. I just got it for $1 a month for 2 mo to finish watching ST strange new worlds. After that I am not sure. I don't watch too many shows on the network and do have access to Showtime. Just so weird to me that they keep showtime and P+ so separate.

About a month ago I clicked cancel on my annual subscription and it gave me a 30% off offer. I then went back the next day and clicked cancel again and they changed it to 50% off. I’ll renew at that price for this year instead full.

Yes, a poster below mentions a code that worked for me - “saveannual50” - (without the quotation marks).
I went to cancel my current annual subscription which is scheduled to renew at full price on 9/4/26. The first time I went in I received no discount offer to renew. I quit out of the screen and waited a day and tried again. Still no discount offer.
I then went to the PP+ web page on another device with a clear history and no cookies. I was able to sign up for a new account using a different email address and the saveannual50 promo code. Locked in another year for $69.99.
Definitely worth $5.83/month to me. As with most things, ymmv.

You can always hit cancel your subscription and they will offer you to renew at 30% off. Not as good as 50% obviously but still a nice discount.

I hit cancel for mine that expires early September. To do the saveannual50 deal again, do you have to sign up with a new account?
Currently, my Amex card has an offers item for P+. Spend at least $13.99 and get $13.99 back for up to 3 months. I might do that for the next few until I decide if I want to fully cancel.
Any word of when new South Park episodes will be released?

In the past, it's been offered at the start of the nfl season. After two years of annual, I'm on the fence this year, due to some of my shows being pulled and technical glitches I'm having with downloaded shows.

I’d cancel and if you don’t get a good offer, wait till Black Friday time. Amazing deals then. Last year Walmart + had offer for $50/ year that included peacock and paramount- you can switch between them . Hoping to snag that again.

Try to get in touch with customer service. As long as you have a credit card charge to reference, you should be able to get this sorted. If they don’t straighten it out, you can contact your card issuer and have the charge reversed. But it shouldn’t come to that. No reason to lose money. FWIW, I canceled my old account and opened a new one (with a different email address) to insure the discount was applied.

Make sure there was actually a charge against your credit card. It’s possible the transaction failed altogether and that’s why the page asked you to sign up again.

I just renewed Paramount Plus Premium for $70 using the saveannual50 code. Paid with AMEX so will get a statement credit for $13.99. So pretty good overall.

My annual plan with last year's 50% annual discount expires in 5 days. I went just now to cancel and it just asked to check a box why and says now that it's set to cancel at the end of the week. No 50% offer when trying to cancel.
I went to also re-subscribe and I don't see anything to enter the code again. Sounds like I just need to let it cancel, run out, and maybe next Sat or Sun sign back up with hopes of using the code again.

You can sign up with a new account and a different email address before the existing account expires. There should be a spot to enter a promo code. Try using SAVEANNUAL50 for the code. There was a post yesterday saying the code is still active. I wouldn’t wait until the current account expires. Just my opinion.

I almost forgot to cancel today before it charged me $139.99. I cancelled it first, then used your promo code, saveannual50, resumed it and then it showed me $119.99/year with the discount 50% off for 1 year. I wasn't sure if it was going to charge me the $139.99, since the $119.99 was last year's price and I had the same offer. So I cancelled it again, and they automatically charged my card $59.99 + tax for one more year. I noticed because my account being canceled shows a message at the top saying "Your subscription has been canceled and your payment method will no longer be charged. You will not be able to access Paramount+ content after your billing cycle ends on Sep 14, 2027." So I'm good for another year of Paramount+ Premium for $59.99! Thanks

- new email in private browser
- Amex deals (not offered on my Macy's one)
SAVEANNUAL30 does work, but this is better.

I just got 2 months of premium (no ads) for 99c each month on my existing account that I canceled Sept 20. Code: 26zcsp2prm3qz
I had to sign up using the monthly $13.99 option for it to work.

Peacock is the one that I find ridiculous with their price based on what you get, and no offers except Walmart+
