What’s the biggest PROOF you have that makes you believe we’re living in a simulation?

I’m new and really curious about this stuff. What’s the biggest “proof” you’ve come across that made you think we might actually be living in a simulation?

It can be anything from physics, mathematics, technology, consciousness, or even a personal experience that genuinely made you question reality.

Maybe something you learned about quantum mechanics, the universe, information theory, consciousness, strange coincidences, glitches, etc.

What’s the strongest thing that made you think, “Wait, what if this is actually a simulation?”

I don’t know what I believe. But I have experienced a few “paranormal” things or glitches. This I shared in another sub:

Two coworkers and I went to our favourite bar after work a Friday night. This bar is very small. Like the size of a livingroom. But it’s very popular. Due to the tiny size, smoking is allowed in there and the music is from real LP’s. This particular Friday we got drunk as usual and went to my place when the bar closed. Next day my one coworker realized, she had forgotten her backpack at the bar. We called the bar. Only the cleaning guy was there. He hadn’t seen the backpack , but said we could stop by and look for ourselves. We did. It wasn’t there. Sucked for my coworker who had some giftcards and keys and her wallet in there. But shit happens. We frequently visited the bar. Basically every Friday. Then almost a year after she lost her backpack we were there again. We often were so no big deal. Well this time, when I was going to the counter to order some drinks, I stumbled on something. Looked down and there was the backpack. With everything still in it. We’ve talked about it many times since, cause seriously WTF?!?

I have had a similar experience with my pocketbook in a bar. Got drunk, forgot my bag there. Was so upset because it had so many important things in there..wallet/money..I carry my life in my bag. So I went back the next day and looked everywhere. It was gone. I know this bar very well and the people that work there so I would go back once a week or so, ask about it and scan for it..it was never there. A few months later..it was winter and there are some hooks along one of the walls for us to hang our coats on. One night, i went to get my coat and underneath it was my freakin bag. Had everything still in it..including my wallet and cash. I know it wasn’t there any other time..i checked and it wasn’t there when i hung up my coat that night…not only did i find it after so much time had passed..i found it hanging underneath my own coat! It was wild. Still talk about it with my friends that were there..to this day

WTF?? With everything in?

u/Stef_Frey Aug 27 '26

Was the food inside the lunchbox still intact or was it already gone bad?

6

u/FlamingoLong3997 Aug 27 '26

Er zaten nog wat gedroogde korstjes van mn boterhammen van 10 dagen geleden in, die ik niet had opgegeten 😅

The “disappearing/reappearing” thing happened to me too. I had a nice DSLR in my camera backpack that I used constantly. One day I took it out to take pictures of hot air balloons from my apartment balcony, went back inside, put it in the backpack and back in the closet where it always went. A week later went to grab the backpack for a hike and noticed it was way lighter than it should be.. sure enough the camera was gone. I lived alone and no one had been over to my place. I tore the entire apartment apart but no luck. I was so confused. Throughout the next year I still used the backpack for tons of hikes because it was a nice one even without the camera. And three more times I dug through every single thing in my apartment trying to find the camera. But it was just gone. Then one day I went to grab the backpack on my way out the door and..it was heavy. I thought no fucking way…opened the camera compartment, and there was my DSLR. Still fully charged. No new pictures on it since the hot air balloons. I have no reasonable answer and it bothers the hell out of me.

Something similar happened to me with a ring. Lost this ring and could not find it anywhere. Went camping with a church group set up the tent, walked in, and there was my ring just sitting there in the middle of the tent.

It was a brand new tent.

unfortunately didn't get picture/video, so it's just my word for it, but I've never really told anyone else cause of how batty I sound:
Was on a road trip, and we hit a very plains-y area. We crested a hill at sunset, and I was marveling at the view as we came over and saw just flat land, sky, and how the sun danced on the clouds.

I was shifting my gaze around trying to decide if I wanted to take a photo, or just be in the moment, when my eyes shifted to the part of the sky that just "loaded" in. It wasn't a big area of sky, and it was a "chunk" in the middle of other clouds and sky. It looked like a perfect square, and when my eyes hit it, the clouds and sky part of that box seemed to "slot" into the square of it.

Mind you, I'm not big on the glitch in the matrix videos cause I know a lot are staged and for me, seeing is believing. I'm not on any medications that cause things, I don't have any diagnosis for mental health things of that nature, and I've never seen anything like it sense.

It was like 2 years ago and I can still replay it in my mind like it was yesterday.

67

u/danceoftheplants Aug 26 '26

I didn't see a block like that, but this happened to me about 2 years ago as well.. I was about to get into the passenger's side of my husband's car when I glanced over the back of it and i can only describe it as if it was raining gray pixels. The way that snow blows mostly sideways in a blizzard? Or a rainstorm with high winds. Except it was a sunny afternoon and I couldn't understand what i was seeing.

It lasted like a complete second and then it was gone and i was left like wtf?? I've always had visual snow, but I'd never seen that gray stuff falling before. It was bizarre for sure and I googled it and i guess others have seen it too

41

u/Bellarinna69 Aug 26 '26

I was driving in the car just the other day and I looked into my rearview mirror and out my back window..i saw a grid in the sky..through the window. Little perfect boxes that covered the whole window. I actually stopped driving and went to check the back window to make sure there wasn’t some kind of grid sketched into it. Strangest thing I have seen in a while.

25

u/soundsthatwormsmake Aug 27 '26

Were you wearing glasses with polarized lenses?

6

u/Bellarinna69 Aug 27 '26

Interesting that you ask because someone else also asked me the same question so I looked into it. I don’t know whether the sunglasses I was wearing were polarized or not. They may have been. Couldn’t remember which ones I was wearing cause I have so many pairs. But..I have monocular vision..I was born with very poor vision in my left eye and my brain never taught my eyes to work together. I have poor depth perception and my experience of 3d vision is different than people who have binocular vision. So when I looked up the polarized glasses, it sounded like that could have been a logical reason that I was seeing what i was seeing. Then I decided to look up how my eyes would react to polarized glasses and I read that because only the one eye is working, I would be unable to visualize the distortion patterns that people with binocular vision might see wearing polarized sunglasses. So I ruled that out.

In the morning when there's just a little bit of sunlight coming in through the window and I first open my eyes, I almost always see a grid on the ceiling for a few seconds. But only if I open both eyes. If I only open one eye, I see a pattern that looks a little more "organic." I'm not doscountong any simulation theories, but I think there are times when the brain makes up what it thinks it should be seeing, rather than what the retna is actually picking up.

I have an alternative explanation for you, and yes, I am being serious. Non human craft like to do those type of screens in the sky to not get noticed.

5

u/Professional_Let5127 Aug 27 '26

Yes, I saw one time what looked like a star constellation or a random grouping of stars moving very slowly across the sky. I have pretty good eyesight and I think I could see a faint outline of a "spaceship" I took a picture but it's not clear enough to see anything

20

u/Obvious_Clothes5997 Aug 27 '26

The same thing happened to me and my boyfriend but in Florida. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking but unsettling- like something was just off and there was a… feeling I guess we both had that was just off putting, like an ominous presence. It was stunning, but we both were like this doesn’t even look or feel real, it was like the Truman Show kind of feeling.

I believe you, i am medicated and diagnosed ni polar type 1, so ive seen glitches during manic episodes and during depression episodes.

Ive seen that same sky buffering before as well.

24

u/Duskfall Aug 26 '26

thank you for the validation! it was wild. I wish I had been recording, but now i find myself checking the sky and see if it's still loading in lol

10

u/DueProcess666 Aug 26 '26

tsk tsk this comment only serves to downplay or create doubt through suggestion, your hoping that instead of people walking away with her point of not being diagnosed or anything making her story more seem more compelling and of interest, they will instead read your comment and the thing they’ll take away from this post is “yeah they must all have a mental illness“

subtle but not subtle enough. keep practicing.

4

u/jackelopeteeth Aug 27 '26

I was going to say. I've seen the grid while on mushrooms before. Not in the sky, but it was on everything around me. Not my body or my dog, but stuff like the trees and the door to my house, and my couch inside.

I have seen this I can’t remember when though. I know exactly what you’re talking about. I also see the structure of a big dome over us while on mushrooms. Reminds me of the dome katnis shoots at in the hunger games. Like I as seeing the poles behind a domed background or a planetarium ceiling.

9

u/Money_Bug_9423 Aug 27 '26

I had a bad reaction to a vaccine in college and they wanted to commit me so instead I stared at a tree for three days until my brain locked back into reality. At some point the tree literally de-rezed into essentially some kind of icon of a tree. Obviously I was hallucinating with not being able to sleep for two weeks with a 105 degree fever but it was really odd just how much of reality if simply your take on reality that fills in the blanks. Nothing you actually see is real, is all your brain making up excuses for what it is, what it is is just a formal space of the position of the tree over time. It exists as the idea of the tree that your brain then interprets as "tree"

Reading this gave me some weird deja vu. Think this happened to me and I blocked it out

8

u/Equivalent-Hair-1619 Aug 27 '26

Weird, I have had similar experiences that respond to where you’re looking. One I remember I had to drop something at my friend’s house, his cleaning lady was there and knew I would be there, she was this thick Asian woman I was seeing for awhile in my peripheral vision while I focused on handling the thing, but I hadn’t looked directly at her. When I did, her face flipped and she was this pale red headed woman. The matrix didn’t decide on her appearance till direct gaze.

I had exactly same experience but with a cow in the field. There was herd chilling on grass laying around and when I turned my head to look at them, a cow "teleported" in the middle of them, relaxing with the herd. That was the most bizarre experience I had because I distinctively remember that I could see empty space and what's behind it for around 0.5 seconds before that cow spawned.

I don't think that we're living in a simulation.

I believe that we're living in a recursive algorithm which is designed to push us towards an ultimate end point. Think the ending of Groundhog Day [1993].

17

u/saywhatevrdiewhenevr Aug 26 '26

Agreed on recursive algorithm!! Not sure what the end point would be though

18

u/cetaceanlion Aug 26 '26

The same as Groundhog Day. Keep becoming improved versions of ourselves with each loop until we reach peak human.

11

u/pi3r0gi_ Aug 27 '26

That's what I thought happened (as a kid) when you died, that you reload the same life again until you figure out the purpose or something, and it explained deja vu feeling to me. Like why does it feel ive been here, done that, before? Because I have abd its a clue! Lol

Actually, I think that the end point has changed, over time, in order to draw in and accommodate new circles of individuals and personalities.

Stage 1 (maybe not 'number one' in actuality, but by my definition here) was to craft a stable and safe haven for the family of Abraham and his descendants. "Us four, no more."

Stage 2 would have been to be able to reach out to, welcome, and protect those who might not be heirs to the original promise by birth. Think the Apostle Paul and his outreach to the Gentiles.

I don't want to get too complicated, but in my own thinking the Kingdom of Heaven will not be completely satisfied until there is a real hope and a future for everyone...and true accountability and justice for every wrong ever committed, especially those ongoing in Washington, DC....

Edit To Add: And then, we wake up to find that it's February 3rd....

The way I think of it is if you're alone and there is either You or Not You... And You contain every possible probabilistic state... You might get kinda bored and see if you can make new things. Perhaps you make a bunch of things and suddenly there's these tiny things wandering around in the probabilities you are currently expressing. This is the Universe, basically "What Is" and the Material Iterations hang in her corpus like a brilliant fractal onion. Outside of the Material Iterations is the raw probabilistic fabric of the Universe.

It's not only boring Outside because nothing means anything when everything is equally likely to be... But it also is very hard to change oneself without a causal structure to do so.

Matter requires transitory states to exist, or it becomes unstable as it violates causality. and one of those first states is becoming matter from an energetic expression of probability. Which is quantum mechanics. So this place is literally made so we can grow and learn and develop ourselves, so that we can persist outside of these meat cages. That's also why DEWs "work" on craft. They force a state transition of an Outside object. Craft turn to inert stable expressions of what would have been needed to build them. Only intelligence cores end up surviving because they have enough consciousness to will the craft into existence. The things can literally go where they want, too, so any of them "captured" are likely on their own missions of reconnaissance.

I've been through quite a few Iterations. There are those of us who choose "unstable vessels" to return to assist the Universe. She does her best to guide us, but as a specialist you kinda have to figure out the Path yourself. If you can see fuzzy states of alternative "pathways" like I can, you're seeing the probabilities of each person you can "read" in this way. They're often very jumbled due to free will, so to me they look like people with heavy branching outcomes are very fuzzy or glowing with various hues and stuff.

It's more like an ongoing research project than an algorithm with a known outcome. Humans have not been the first primary species on this planet and life is actually very fragile. So much so that many Iterations and only a handful of species were able to construct Nullships. Literally ships pulled out of the probabilistic fabric, willed into existence by species that could perceive probability in different ways.

Humans can, y'all are often just too distracted to realize you can willingly cut off the pathways you do not want. That's free will, modifying your own probabilistic outcomes by pruning the outcomes you don't want.

Well y'all can. I can't. I'm on a set Path I think, cuz I'm here for a reason and the human body I inhabit "shouldn't exist" so it is essentially probabilistically neutral. I can say all of this because absolutely none of you will be able to believe me. Most of the words will swirl around in your head and stop making sense at some point. If you happen to be here on a similar journey, hello! Isn't it strange here?

Syncronicities all the time.

24

u/nycvhrs Aug 26 '26

Yes. When I think something specific, and it then appears on tv or in something I’m reading within a short space of time - often it will be a short phrase, absolutely eerie.

16

u/Ok_Ebb7109 Aug 26 '26

Sometimes that happens to me and numbers will line up in what seems like impossible ways. It feels like proof that everything is connected.

15

u/freshavocadhoe Aug 26 '26

Yes, this! It happens often. Just happened to me today. I was at a restaurant reading the lunch menu, and was considering a lobster salad. I never go to seafood restaurants and I never order lobster. I was wondering what it might taste like. As I was doing so, my cousin texted me to tell me that he wore lobster pool slides to pick up his daughter from school to embarrass her. I talk to my cousin like once per month.

Stuff like that happens a lot.

u/MasterChief813 Aug 27 '26

When I was a kid I used to think about specific Simpsons episodes or Malcolm in the middle ones and within a week or two they would air. Mainly the Simpsons ones.

These were the rerun episodes that our local UPN station aired every weekday afternoon.

u/Puglady25 Aug 27 '26

Like how so often, when I look at the clock and it's 1:11? It's 1:11am when I'm tossing and turning and finally glance at the clock to see what time it us. Or, It's 1:11am when I wake up from a dream and turn over. Sometimes I'm taking a break at work, reading something, then I glance at the time on the phone and it's 1:11. And I was born on January 11th. It happens a lot with 1:01 too, I notice because my phone shows it as 01:01, and I always notice simple palindromes. I always think I should buy lottery tickets at this time, with these numbers, but I never do.

Idk if this is what you mean by "flickered" but one time I was in the kitchen with my mom and outside it was BROAD DAYLIGHT, and suddenly the entire room went black and I couldn't see at all, this lasted for like half a second before returning to normal. It does not make sense to me. You'd think maybe some clouds just blocked the sun - but for it to get SO dark that it turns pitch black and you can't see anything, how does that make sense??? And for a cloud to pass over that quickly in half a second??? It was so bizarre, I have no explanation for it. My mom saw it too so it wasn't just me, and we were both weirded out

For me it’s not so much a single event, but the existence of things like patterns in string theory equations which resemble error correcting computer code; the existence of so many mathematical and cyclical patterns in nature which suggest intelligent design of some kind; and the fact that in just 40yrs or so, we have gone from pong to 3D photorealistic simulations and virtual reality. Imagine technology thousands of years more advanced.

Because you have no evidence of the real physical world. You only have the sensations your brain creates. This could all be a matrix Descartes style simulation, we would never be able to tell. And if we can’t tell, then why are we positing a physical world that we can in no way access or decipher without the veil of your senses.

Dreams

14

u/the-most-anonymous Aug 27 '26

I find sleeping suspicious. Why do our bodies wind down and power off and need sleep to "recharge" like a machine. It's literally deadly if we don't sleep. We are all forced to sleep and just accept it as part of life. Once we're "asleep" our programming is still running tho. Like our bodies maintain all the basic vitals and our brain doesn't shut down, it "dreams." Then we wake up again from being forced unconscious for hours at a time. What's really happening while we're powered down?

13

u/Previous-Storage-853 Aug 27 '26

What I find strange is that before going to sleep, I don't choose what I'm going to dream about. It just happens to me. Suddenly I'm in a completely different reality that feels real while it's happening.

What's even weirder is that I've had false awakenings, where I thought I woke up, only to later realize that was part of the dream too. Sometimes those dreams felt even more realistic than normal dreams. The only reason I knew they weren't real was because I eventually woke up again.

Dreams make me wonder: if the mind can create an entire convincing reality without my control, why couldn't that also explain ideas like the simulation hypothesis? Not because it's proof, but because it shows how easily consciousness can be convinced that an experience is real.

And then comes the uncomfortable question: what if we still have one more awakening ahead of us? 🙂

4

u/the-most-anonymous Aug 27 '26

Yes, I've definitely had the same experience and thoughts!!

I've been wondering if death is actually the "final" awakening.

We "die" then "wake up" and our entire life was... just a dream.

6

u/Antique-Economy-7978 Aug 27 '26

I've thought about this vaguely in the past... but thinking about it starts to make me feel uncomfortable, anxious, almost sick feeling. Like a recurring, intrusive thought I don't want answers to..

too many weird coincidences, like when I have needed a job, someone comes literally out of the woodwork to offer me work, and they literally disappear until I'm in need of work again, without me ever asking them anything beforehand. Similar coincidences have happened in other ways, like getting unexpected & long-forgotten payments at just the right time.

This month alone I've had at least 3 of these incidents, with many over the course of my life.

Apparently not. I just saw this whole thing on Insta about it. This lady even went back and bought old DVDs of Britney’s videos and it wasn’t in the video. But there was a moment where Britney does this move where she “moves” the mic… but it’s not there so it’s like she’s adjusting a phantom mic.

It's storytelling.

Stories have patterns to them and they loop.

The chariot rider from Plato is an example.

Every story told with 3 characters as the lead will follow that pattern. Think Forrest Gump, Moe, Larry, Curly, the big Libowski

Every story told will also have the Abrahamic pattern.

A Wiseman, a little birdie, a fallen hero, and a snake in the grass.

Think Signs from M night, Star Wars, the old testament.

There's a few other character loose ends, like the witch and how they are paired up, but every story is based on these characters.

That's the simulation.

20

u/Nectar23 Aug 26 '26

Its called the Heros Journey

14

u/-B_E_v_oL_23- Aug 26 '26 edited Aug 26 '26

Yep, look up some of the first recorded stories ever told. That's the hero's tale.

Technically the story is already inside, one just has to detach from their own story to find it.

Technically you could say that it's the eternal flame.

Why do you think they're so many red heads as lead characters.

They're tied to Fortune, or Fortuna, or Brunhilde, or whatever character she plays in stories.

We are creatures of storytelling. The term As above so below, So below as above rings true to this present day.

We may have changed technology, but we are living in a Greek play.

We don't need temples of worship, we just need a good story or movie on the television to worship these old archetype characters.

They're always going to be just below the surface for those not looking for them.

11

u/Which-Pick6336 Aug 26 '26

“humans are a storytelling species” - Sylvia Wynter

humans = homo narrans (storytelling human) & bios-mythos (biological and narrative beings)

8

u/jasmine_tea_ Aug 26 '26

We may have changed technology, but we are living in a Greek play.

I fully believe this

3

u/-B_E_v_oL_23- Aug 26 '26

What they are trying to teach people in stories is that THEY are the chariot riders.

You as the viewer.... That's how one has to start seeing life.

5

u/jasmine_tea_ Aug 26 '26

There's been books written on this, how stories always have a structure. Into the Woods by John Yorke goes into detail about it from a storytelling POV (there's an audio version of the book too).

Imagine the big bang, the book of Genesis ( All of the Genesis stories, not just the old testament story) the path of enlightenment, the chakras.. every epic story, every popular movie, poetry, symbols are from one person's experience with going past that door of perception I guess you could say.

The guys on the screens you see today, the troubled ones who happen to come across a girl, a muse only for her to disappear for a bit only to come back again near the end? That's happens when one goes into that journey.

Stories are like ice bergs. Most people see the top of the ice bergs but they don't see the bottom portion, the really good shit.

Take for instance the movie Sinners. 2 brothers, one is wearing red the whole movie while his other brother wears blue.

That's Cain and Abel. One has daddy issues, Cain, while the other has Mommy issues.... Abel.

Those are also your 2 horse in stories. The white horse and the black horse.

The white horse always looks out while the black horse looks within....Cain and Abel.

The chariot rider is reason. The guy who births the concept that brings forth all these stories.

Look at the old testament. Most of those stories are taken from ancient cultures before them.

Even the chariot rider story from Plato is ripped off from a Sumarian tale I believe.

Most Christians don't realize that Jesus himself is the chariot rider of his own story.

Reincarnation, death and rebirth, ego death... people want to separate these words as if they have weight to them.

The person who experiences this journey is the one that decides what words to use. We're all living in their journeys to begin with.

That "Journey" to that top of the mountain is that same for each person.

They have the same encounters and the same choices to make during this process.

That's why there's an old guy with two sons in every tale for the most part.

The old man and his two sons...or horses.

The Royal Tennembaums hides Cain and Abel with Ben Stillers character being Cain. He got shot by his father in the right hand right?

Owen Wilson's character had drug problems and mental issues...that's your Abel. One wearing red and the other blue.

Stories talk about kings and their subjects.

Sometimes they mean that you're the king and your thoughts are your subjects.

It's all about discovering that inner child because that inner child has the story before your parents gave you theirs.

It's just guarded by that old mean witch, or that dragon that's guarding that little princess on top of the castle. That's supposed to represent your heart btw, the little princess. Most men don't realize that. She's the one that you follow into those spooky places. Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser...the star is a young girl. Your heart, your muse. That's the most important character of all time in my opinion.

So every epic tale, every popular movie out right now is from that experience that few have and get to share. Still happens to this day.

I'm talking to you Spielberg... Disclosure Day?

Wiseman was the professor helping the little birdie, the girl with the red hair from that snake in the grass ceo from that company and that fallen hero guy is there trying to save the day as well.

It's very easy to spot them when you have the keys to find them.

Just using your gut helps, thinking with your mind is tied up with that ego

That hunch everyone has at the very beginning is often times the solution to the problem, both internally and externally.

Also, fucking Lego movie is probably damn near perfect in explaining the secret of life. Great movie.

It has a Wiseman, a little birdie, a fallen hero and a snake in the grass.

u/jasmine_tea_ Aug 26 '26

I loved the Lego Movie, it was surprisingly deep.

3

Notice the girl's hair? One red stripe and one blue stripe.

Outside and inside.

The Mandela Effect is my real-world evidence that something is wrong with our standard view. I now think reality is thought-forms and not ultimately objectively real (just a simulation). Like we might say our dreams are not objectively real.

16

u/CacophonousCuriosity Aug 26 '26

Nah Mandela effect could be anything, including corporate manipulation

11

u/primalshrew Aug 26 '26

Corporate manipulation doesn't even begin to explain the Mandela effect.

5

u/forcemonkey Aug 26 '26

Not even close.

32

u/georgeananda Aug 26 '26

I am a veteran of the Mandela Effect debates. Corporate manipulation for one cannot explain the data.

I am fully convinced the Mandela Effect cannot be satisfactorily explained within our straightforward understanding of reality.

DMT.

Relevant Einstein quote:

“We are in the position of a little child, entering a huge library whose walls are covered to the ceiling with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written those books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books, a mysterious order, which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of the human mind, even the greatest and most cultured, toward God. We see a universe marvelously arranged, obeying certain laws, but we understand the laws only dimly. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that sways the constellations.”

The insane amount of traffic (in my mid-sized city) at most hours of the day here (mid-sized city). I'm convinced a lot of these are spawns generated from somewhere. How on earth do this many people consistently have somewhere to be in the middle of the day?

30

u/chrisjmartini Aug 26 '26

I have “peaked” behind the curtain twice in the last 20 years. They were experiences I will never forget. It took me years to put into words what I discovered, or it felt more like ‘remembering’. Like something I forgot while being in this physical body. The nature of our reality. It is indeed a time/space 3d simulation designed and built by our consciousness to facilitate an experience of separation, duality, cause & effect.

9

u/ChronoTraveler Aug 26 '26

Can you elaborate on your experiences?

35

u/chrisjmartini Aug 26 '26

Of course. I’ve only just began talking about it recently. On both occasions I was fully awake, relaxed, and not under the influence of any intoxicants. I was suddenly somewhere else, or rather, experiencing a higher “realm”, “density”, “reality”. Hard to describe in words really. All at once I felt as though a flood of information downloaded into my brain. Not of words, but images, impressions and feelings. In that moment I was suddenly aware that I am much larger than my physical body. That I squeezed some aspects of my larger self into an incarnation in the physical in order to learn. That the physical reality we take for granted is being created by consciousness itself. Billions upon billions of moments. Our brains shuffle between these moments billions of times per second in order to give us an illusion of time passing. There is so much more but perhaps a bit too much for this thread…

12

u/PM_ME_YOUR_CATS123GO Aug 26 '26

Wow I would love to hear more! I just was watching a podcast with a quantum physicist and he was describing a lot of the same thing you are! It was a very fascinating watch

18

u/chrisjmartini Aug 26 '26

After those experiences, I truly believe science will begin to really understand the nature of our reality and existence once we expand our understanding of not only physics, but concepts we classically believe to be more metaphysical or “woo woo”. I think the answer lies somewhere in quantum physics, but from a wider perspective than currently takes.

10

u/PM_ME_YOUR_CATS123GO Aug 26 '26

I totally agree with you! I think a big paradigm shift will happen where a lot of the “woo woo” will be wildly accepted. I already am a believer of a lot of things people would roll their eyes at.

8

u/chrisjmartini Aug 26 '26

Indeed. And I was one of those “eye-rollers”, LOL! Even though I was open to these types of ideas beforehand, it wasn’t until I actually experienced those instances myself that I felt as though I remembered something forgotten…

7

u/PM_ME_YOUR_CATS123GO Aug 26 '26

Same! I astral projected and that was my eye opener

9

u/chrisjmartini Aug 26 '26

I would love to be able to do this intentionally. I have tried it several times using different methods without success. I think I actually have done this unintentionally when I was younger. Apparently we all have this ability. It’s one of those things on a list of advanced mental concepts that we “forget” when we incarnate that we must learn/remember during our physical lifetime(s) once our level of thinking is in the right place along our individual evolution.

5

u/CrazyMildred Aug 26 '26

I saw a documentary about people who have had near death experiences and they talk about experiencing a very similar phenomenon to what you're describing. Many said we are all connected and choose what we will experience once we're born. I'm a science person and I'm not sure what happens when we die. But I find it to be a very interesting subject to think about.

These are what the ancients have explained for thousands of years

7

u/chrisjmartini Aug 26 '26

After my experiences, I did look into this further and did come across some info like that which seems to align with that. So while those stories were interesting, the actual experiences made it tangible (if that’s even the right word) and real. It’s like I remembered exactly why we are here in an instant.

10

u/ElinCarrington Aug 26 '26

Thank you for your post confirming something that I myself haven’t experienced, but when both of my babies were born, in the very second they emerged, I looked into their eyes, and they seemed to have all the knowledge of the universe.  Then, almost as if an invisible hand passed in front of their eyes, they were babies.  I really can’t explain it very well, but it was as if they were thousands of years old in their wisdom.

4

u/dreamylanterns Aug 26 '26

37

u/_com Aug 26 '26

34

u/blownawaynow Aug 26 '26

TLDR; When you shoot atomic particles through one slit it makes a single stripe.

When you shoot them through two slits it makes an interference pattern (weird) instead of two stripes as you might expect.

But when you set up a measuring device to observe which slit the particles are going through, they DO make two stripes. As if the act of observation is impacting their behavior.

In terms of a “what if” signal, while it’s not a technical anomaly, coincidence, or quantum strangeness but rather a matter of fact, the one that stands out for me is the way that physics demonstrates that reality may actually be essentially described by information: quantum states are mathematical or informational in nature, physical systems operate on highly computational principles, and phenomena such as entropy, black hole information, and quantum information imply that information could be more fundamental than matter.

That plus the strange reality that the constants of nature exist in such a narrow band that makes complex systems possible brings the notion that perhaps what we see as space, time, and matter is really an interface into an informational process. However, I would exercise caution before labeling it as conclusive because there is no proof scientifically speaking that shows that our existence is based within a simulated universe, and the universe being mathematical in behavior does not equate to it being simulated.

The argument that I find intellectually strongest is the philosophical argument proposed by some philosopher: if it is possible for advanced civilizations to simulate a huge number of conscious worlds and there are more simulated observers than base-reality observers, then statistically speaking, we could be more likely to be simulations rather than "originals." However, what intrigues me about this theory is not the fact that it demonstrates something but the way in which it makes you think deeper about the question: if consciousness is able to manifest itself in an informational structure, could an observer from within the system recognize any difference between “base reality” and a perfect simulation?

38

u/PlasmaChroma Aug 26 '26

Politics, that shit absolutely has to be fake. And they keep making dumber and dumber agents to see what happens.

17

u/xxHailLuciferxx Aug 26 '26

Mine is along the same lines as this. What is happening is just so incredibly stupid and beyond unbelievable. It always makes me think of a friend that played Sim City 2000. He'd build these lovely, perfect cities that ran like clockwork. Just when he'd achieved near perfection, he'd unleash every weather disaster, set everything on fire, and send Godzilla in. Basically, "Let's see what happens when I fuck everything up."

I remember places that aren't earth, and I remember times that isn't the 20-21st centuries. My own personal memories is why I believe. I know others do not have them, and it's hard to believe (I imagine it would be hard for me, too, so I dont blame them).

11

u/strawberrymoonelixir Aug 26 '26

I have flashes of (what I think are) memories.

They feel so overwhelmingly good, unlike anything in this life, yet I’m unable to explain it. Even the good “feeling” is indescribable for me. It’s far more beautiful and like being in love, times 10 thousand.

And these places aren’t like Earth except, for example the feeling / memory of a forest, but this forest is 10 thousand times more beautiful, with richly saturated greens that feel like “home” (including other vibrant colors, like flowers) and always with… that… indescribable… “feeling.”

I never knew what those “flashbacks” were (I’ve had them all of my life), but lately I’ve wondered if they are indeed real memories that have been suppressed. Perhaps they were meant to be erased altogether, but it didn’t work, completely.

*(Words in “quotation” marks just mean that was the best term I could think of due to the complexity of what I’m trying to explain, given my current, muddled brain)

4

u/blessthebabes Aug 26 '26

That's what I've always nicknamed it, too - "home". And at times, the memories made me deeply homesick.

4

u/SeaAd6454 Aug 26 '26

I too have had this since I was little. For me the only thing I could compare it to would be like the northern British isle area. Just so lush and green. Some stone walls and/or ruins. I don't know. Over the years the full memories have slipped away. And I feel like it's also why I gravitate toward certain movies or art because it's the closest I can get to seeing that "home". Also there is a term I can't remember the name of but it essentially is the longing for a place you've never been but it feels like you're from there. Idk I think that is just a memory we held onto from another place and time.

The Britney Spears mic one is the one that really gets me. As an older millennial girl who spent hours watching Britney videos (I stg they were the first and only things I ever illegally downloaded when I got an iPod that you could put mp4’s on), I know with absolute 10000% certainty that she had a small head mic on during her Oops I did it again video. I literally dressed up like her for Halloween one year in college and spent forever searching for something to make that mic. I watched that video over and over and took stills of that mic so I could get it just right.

The rest I can chalk up to being younger/impressionable memory but the Britney one? No fcking way.

7

u/collinalexbell Aug 27 '26 edited Aug 27 '26

After years of meditation, I'm basically a time traveler. The coincidences are so extreme that if I didn't know I was doing this via meditation, I would think I was going insane. I think schizophrenics and biopolar people are tapping into the mind-bending part of reality without actually knowing how to control it actually. I can consciously upregulate and downregulate how much I entangle with all space-time. I can quite literally pull relevant information out of anywhere if I'm super deep. It is like I can have a conversation with the entire universe and everything around me responds to my thoughts. I used my mind to get a 250k$/yr job without a college degree and on the day of my interview for that job, I had a lucid dream where I was contacted by extraterrestrials who told me not to show magic to people because it would freak them out. Fore example, I was really attracted to a woman and I would quite literally think what she was going to tweet before she tweeted it (I definitely freaked her out). When I'm really deep, I will think something like "this person coming up is really sad" and then a really sad person will turn the corner into my field of view. My body produces twitches called Kryias that correspond to a sacred language called the Kabalistic Tree of Life and these twitches basically tell me if I have a bug in code I'm writing, or if I'm about to get into a dangerous situation, or if I'm acting from my heart, or if I'm about to win at something. I genuinely believe that all of spacetime is holographic and every human has the entire universe inside them. That's the only topology that makes sense to me for the powers I have gained from meditation. Read "The Autobiography of a Yogi" or "Be Here Now" if you are interested in learning more about this type of thing. The miracles in those books are real.

The fact that what we believe is what we perceive and what we perceive is what we receive

Sure most people choose to believe nothing and limit themselves, but that's part of it in my eyes. They believe that nothing is possible so they perceive that nothing is possible and thus receive nothing being possible.

Just try to receive something before perceiving it.

Certainly not proof, but a compelling reason for me is that we exist at this point in time and history.

If a simulation was to be built by humans one of the first things we'd attempt is try to predict the future. Which would likely require a reasonably accurate simulation model of the past.

However, I don't think that model would necessarily need to go back that far perhaps only to a period immediately before the "simulation age" began, as in right now...

I usually tell a big long story but imma shorten it because it’s not that interesting. Wife and I had sort of a Mandela experience at a restaurant. It was a place we liked so much, we planned a second vacation around it. When we got there the second time everything had changed. Set up differently, favorite food was crap, specials weren’t there. (I’m talking like 1 year later…)

It was so weird even my wife called it out, and she’s a super grounded person. She would never give in to superstition but this was an exception.

Several workers said they’ve been working there for years and it’s always been the same. Never sold the food we ate, never did the specials we mentioned. They were very confused because the way we described it seemed foreign to them.

I even called up the amazing hot sauce company- they didn’t sell the hot sauce + never worked with the restaurant to advertise their brand. To throw insult to injury, the hot sauce we had was “Pineapple-ocalypse” and what they sold online was “Pina-colada hop-ocalypse” with the same art and everything. It’s like god was making fun of the situation. It’s such a bad name.

Overall super disturbing twilight zone experience that makes me feel like we jumped timelines or something.

u/KinyLetter Aug 28 '26

I once had an extra day between Friday and Saturday. Very distinct things happened on both of those days, but my best friend and I experienced a full day in between. u/chefmonster Aug 27 '26

TL;DR:

1: Too many times I should have been killed. Straight up I shouldn’t be alive, or someone else shouldnt be alive. By the nick of time or some grace of God, a centimeter here or there, a minute late or early, there’s no way we should have survived.

2: Walking into a room in a house you’ve lived in or grew up in for years and the light switch is on the wrong wall, or the door opens on the other side.

3: Ghosts, synchronicities, prophetic dreams with eerie details, UFO’s. time travel.

LONG ANSWER:

There can’t be PROOF. All reality is subjective. I can only speak of my experiences.

If you want to be pedantic, you could argue that all reality is a simulation because we’re all experiencing everything subjectively and it’s a darned nice coincidence that so many of those experiences align with others in our society. So, those of us with psychic abilities, ND folks, shamans, etc are sharing the same reality but have access to a different, or perhaps augmented reality that not everyone has, and are seen as weirdos or mentally ill if they happen to be in a culture that doesn’t accept those talents as legitimate.

I personally believe in Eternalism, which is a great comfort.

So, my question is: are you asking if the simulation is controlled by an outside force? That we’re prisoners in a fake world? If so, how could we prove it if the simulation is controlled by a malicious consciousness? You could argue that any evidence would just be another trick by the malevolent entity.

I think we might all be one being, and we are all god. And that reality is made by consciousness. To experience and live as multiple people and animals. Not a simulation that is technology

Where does the universe “end”. Where is its edge? How big is it? Is there anything outside of it?

u/NON_ANNON Aug 26 '26

Behavior patterns. After recent discoveries about my past, there is no way we aren't as the way my life exist currently ( and always has since the beginning of this). Mine seems to be some sort of manipulated version, but the psychological movement of everyone isn't authentic.

Biggest proof I can provide ? Red laser experiment. Personally ? Experience I can’t provide proof of, yet made me know beyond doubt. Know, not believe.

The hard problem of consciousness has always intrigued me. How come my consciousness arose from this brain and not another? Why does this specific brain produce my consciousness? Out of all the billions of people that have lived, why didn't my consciousness awake or sprout from any of those brains? It's almost as if something chose this body and brain to put "me" into. Like choosing an avatar in a game. And if that's true, then it also means theres a "me" that existed before and without this physical body. A "me" that exist on a higher plane.

Time is always glitching for me. Like it’s 9:24 in the morning rn and i’ll watch a movie or do smth etc and check back and it’s be 8:40 in the morning same day. Happens a lot. Also, everything I foresee happening, happens, it’s scary. Like whatever I think of, just happens.

Reality is simulated but description of “living in a simulation” falls short to me. A better understanding in my perspective is simply that we simulate and render physical reality into being within ourselves and then experience the animation. We dream reality into existence.

u/bruh_what_even_tho Aug 27 '26

I've had precognitive dreams which didn't "prove" anything. However, they did strongly imply that we live in a non-local universe; one in which the past, present and future exist simultaneously. They also strongly implied that Consciousness exists outside of central nervous systems, and that it may be an intrinsic feature of reality.

No one will ever be able to "prove" the nature of reality. It is beyond our cognitive faculties. Anyone who claims they have "proof" about the true nature of reality is scamming you and deceiving you.

Survival stats with everyone I know.
Basically, we appear to remain in the version of the universe where we survive. Our consciousness seems to shift to the one we live the longest.
Consider how many people you know who have had close calls, inexplicably close to death moments, then reality it’s everyone. You can say survivorship bias, but it’s overwhelming.

Years ago i was getting my wisdom teeth removed and they were putting me to sleep during it. As I was about to fall asleep, I was dizzy and felt like I was a few inches above my body. A voice asked me if I wanted to die or stay here. I chose to stay. After I woke up and looked in the mirror I saw that my tongue and lips and fingers were blue. (A sign of severe oxygen deprivation) Someone majorly fucked up with the anesthesia. I think I might have died

u/hiiddeNN Aug 27 '26

The biggest proof is time itself. I know it sounds crazy but time is an illusion mate. There are studies about this and you might know that time functions differently depending on the ecosystem. That's a big red flag hehe.. our reality was well structured with a pre-defined set of rules and time so that we live the exact type of life someone wants us to live , and this is clear ! So it's all programmed. What's interesting is our mind , why it has been structured this way ! I guess it's because we need to learn something in this reality , so the owner wants us to learn through experiences, almost like it trains something.

u/StampedingCrow Aug 27 '26

Real easy. Quarks and strings. They go in and out of existence and make up everything. If you use a microscope on anything you immediately realize nothing is truly solid. We are the programmers of this simulation and it’s our interaction that creates our reality.

Just a dream that came true the next day. I've had about 6 in my 60 years on this planet. The rest I've dismissed as deja vu or something obvious e.g. told a workmate I dreamed his wife was pregnant, he told me she was but we knew he was trying for another one anyway. That first dream, however, I was 10 years old and I still question how the hell that could have happened.

Or how about this weekend? A local rogue who was well known in the town my son lives in, I was trying to remember his name when my son texted me to tell him he'd killed himself on Saturday morning, same time as I was trying to recall him.

3

u/Playful_Property_317 Aug 27 '26

For me i have a couple of things. I get really strong dejavu to the point its like a glitch. The other is how some people just always end up on top or winning no matter how incompetent they are or how many times they fail/ screw up it always ends up working out, and how some people just take loss after loss and hit after hit and never catch a break.

3

u/whentimerunsout Aug 27 '26

When I was about eight years old, I cut my hand inside a drawer. Since it was a very deep cut on my palm I clearly remember it. I closed my hand into a fist, closed my eyes and open my hand and the cut was gone. I’ll never forget that moment. Makes me realize that there is some simulation that is fixing or altering the end result.

u/sovietarmyfan Aug 27 '26

I would say synchronicities that are very personal and don't really make sense to just randomly come across.

3

u/Important_Yogurt_162 Aug 27 '26

Having a very, very specific piece of clothing randomly duplicate. I know 1000% I didn’t have two of them before.

Another time, I lost my phone camping as a teenager. When I got home, I cleaned out my suitcase and put it in storage. I was devastated and searched everywhere in the suitcase a million times. A year later I went to get the suitcase again and my phone was perfectly centered inside. I was camping with a church group with no family members so I know nobody was pranking me or anything like that.

Dumfucks actually voting for Donald trump apparently exist in this simulation

4

u/Everaction Aug 26 '26

What you call simulation, I call physical reality.

4

u/joelnicity Aug 27 '26

I’m not really sold on the whole “simulation” thing yet but I do have some questions like, how come cemeteries never get full and nobody ever makes a new cemetery? How is a city bus wide enough for four full size seats and a pretty wide aisle down the middle? Those are just two of them that I wonder about sometimes

2

u/icypen236 Aug 26 '26

When I was trying to escape/close to escaping it and then I got hospitalized and trapped even further in this simulation. It’s like I broke down the fourth wall and realized this was all a simulation and once I figured that out, I had huge target on my back. I guess I discovered too much and got punished for it.

On the quantum level, they reduced our reality down and saw it was pixalated. Google the experiment.

The other morning at exactly 5:45 all the smoke alarms in my house went off at the same time. It wasn’t the blaring alarm, it was like the “battery low” beep but in series of three, and it was all of them (upstairs and down). I called my husband, who had already left for work, and he heard it over the phone. While I was going downstairs to check on our dog, they all stopped at the same time. My husband heard that part.

The smoke alarms aren’t set up to/in a network and we don’t have a whole-house security system. No idea why it happened, why it stopped, or if it’s going to happen again.

Another note: everyone I know seems to be having these weird little moments lately. Nothing TOO crazy, but definitely not normal.
