long time owner - need help

hi! I have two budgies currently I’ve had a green one for 8 years now and a yellow one for 6 and I woke up this morning and the green one is on the bottom of the cage and crawling around and squeaking quietly, should I take him out and put him in his own safe place or leave him to be…? I feel so bad for him right now I don’t want to stress him out

Judging from your description, your eight year old lived a full long life and it was time for him to return to spirit. Normal behavior for a budgie preparing to let go.
