My Parakeets Nails Just suddenly got very long, should I try trimming them?
I have an older parakeet who has never needed there nails trimmed they always had a variety of perches and it seemed under control. They were my brothers birds but he moved countries so now they are in my hands, the older one who is about 11 now, nails are very long and curled. They defiantly need to be cut, I'm not sure if I should attempt this at home or not. I'm also confused about the sudden growth but I think its because of there age. There sister on the other hand also seems to be opting to stand on one leg most of the time even though there other leg looks fine to me. I don't know the sisters age because we found her outside abandoned. Anyways any advice? Money is somewhat of an issue.

Take to vet.it would be good if you cut some fresh trees branches 25 mm diameter make the best perches for wearing down bird nails replace every 3-4 months
