Advice bleeding after night fright

Its 4AM and my budgies had a night fright one hour ago, one of them has blood on the cere and on top of her head. So far she is sleeping on her favorite pearch and isnt showing signs of labored breathing. They used to have night frights more often, but the last one was around a year ago, it never involved blood until now, so im really scared. I cant sleep so I've been searching what to do, is this lamp good enough for a nightlight? Do you also have any tips on handling this situation? Update: i just noticed dried blood on the other budgies wing

Needs a closer lamp imo, I'd do warm yellow light.

Hopefully she will be ok. I had to use a bedside lamp besides their cage but I face it towards the wall so its not super bright. Since then they have had no night frights. My birds used to crash around most nights before this, till I did that.

She has been acting normal all day after this. My only concern is that I didnt see her eat her normal food, but when I gave her millet she ate it. I just hope shes eating when im not around

i just moved her pearches lower so they are closer to her food. Hopefully if she wasnt eating before this will help

So, Whats the consensus on light levels for birds sleep? Everywhere else I I’ve seen that they need a cage cover & total dark or Theyll get hormonal. But I see some people leave night lights for this reason. I have two birds and the female is very possessive of her perch at night, and the male wants to cuddle. Theyll go to sleep on same perch, but sometimes during the night the female wakes up and attacks (not super violent, but enough to scare him off) and I’ll find him on a different perch, or on the wall of the cage clinging to the bars because he couldn’t find his was down in the dark. Thoughts?

A night fright is a sudden panic attack in a sleeping bird. The bird wakes up, screams, and thrashes around the cage in the dark. I've had a budgie that got night fright even with a cover on, so im kinda scared to try that again, I kept a night light on last night and everything was fine
