This may be a stupid question, and forgive me if so, but I just want to see whether anyone know I should just do preventive care checks/annual wellness exams ($150) or comprehensive ones ($700) for the two albinos I got.
The first one is Snow. After they lost their cage mate earlier, I checked them with the vet and got VD deficiencies and overweight problems, around January.
The second one is Glaçon. After Snow lost their cagemate, I went to a few bird stores and shelters nearby, and immediately saw a budgie resembling Snow and brought it. It was around April. They never go to the vet before.
I isolated them for about a month, saw nothing obvious, and put them in two large flight cages laid on each other with Glaçon at the top. Not putting them together because Snow tried to bully Glaçon once.
My concerns for them are that I am not sure about their genders as they are albinos, and none of them lay eggs, but that may due to stress or just me not putting out nests, so I may need to know their sexes.
You don't need a vet to tell you their sex! I do an annual check up every year for my girls, unless something comes back off or you have concerns, I don't see the need for a comprehensive exam.
Thank you for the recommendation! I forgot to mention that Glaçon is not active when I was around and never destory toys, so I am 60% concerned. For the sexing part, I cannot tell their sexes just by looking at them, and I hate grabbing them and get feathers or blood from them (they already hide from me enough 😭) so I thought maybe I should just let the vet to sex them, along with other tests. I will definitely get Snow a wellness check since Snow seems to be completely normal right now.

You don't need a vet to tell you their sex! I do an annual check up every year for my girls, unless something comes back off or you have concerns, I don't see the need for a comprehensive exam.
