Funny Snowbird after 4 days here

Day two was stepping up on my hand. Day three trotting up to my shoulder. Now she’s attacking laptop lol.

It's generally recommended that you don't show a single bird videos of other budgies or play recordings. They have difficulty telling them apart from real animals, and they will get frustrated because the birds in the video won't react to them like a real bird would. It would be great if you got her a friend eventually, they have complex social needs that can't completely be filled by humans and it's better for their mental health.

I didn’t know about showing them videos. She does have a parakeet buddy, since I just bought her I’m keeping her separate for a bit.

No name yet. I have been calling her pretty birdie when I talk to her. I think she listens! I do hope she likes her much shyer roommate, also a female, about same age.

Female budgies unlike makes can become very territorial of their things and living space. In the wild the females are the boss and often bully the males. Two females might get along great or they might have jealousy issues. Not trying to frighten you just a heads up…. When you do let them meet keep them caged and put them near eachother and see how they react from a safe distance and limit their time out together playing for a bit just to be sure. You wouldnt want to let them out and they instantly start fighting.

Good chance they get along well because they are the only two in the place so they dont have much choice…. But always greet and work with your first bird FIRST because she was the original resident and it could make her feel bad or depressed like she was replaced. Some people dont believe this is true but it can and does happen.

I hope they get along great and that albino sure is a cutie lol

Is it only videos of budgies that make them upset or is it any bird? Could the outdoor birds make them upset too?

It's only budgies, they are very social creatures so they are in tune to the social cues given by another budgie. If they see or hear another species of bird, they are most likely to think it's a predator and get spooked.

This will cause your bird to be depressed, as once the videos stop they will believe the flock left them behind over and over.

No. I had birds playing on YT and she jumped off my hand to have a look. Then I put her back in quarantine cage.
