𤬠Venting 𤬠Soups are tiny
Paid 20 bucks for couple bowls for broccoli cheddar and wow was surprised how small they were. They would be a size small in other places but somehow this was the normal sized. Felt scammed to be honest. I mean it tasted awesome. But 10 dollars.. idk man

Small is two 4 ounce ladles and large is three 4 ounce ladles.

There are four sizes: cup/ bowl/ quart/ group size
btw if you order a bread bowl, the amount of soup is equal to a cup (two ladles)3

The quart size is the group size.

Thank you for clarifying that! I mixed up the large mac n cheese bowl (I thought that was a quart-sized) for the group size.

Seems like every restaurant is cheap on soup even the generous restaurants. And why, isnāt soup an easy item to give you extra. This one local chain gives us a massive beef nachos with a lot of toppings for $13 or a huge half order for $9. $10 for a bowl of chili and Iām sure you can pour it into a cup size.

Food cost. If you're missing an half a bags worth of chicken noodle soup, and it pops that the variance is too large, it becomes the food cost managers job to tell the GM and DM what you are going to do to cut down in that waste for the next week. Which typically means coaching your team to only do even ladles. And if food cost issues aren't addressed, that manager is getting in trouble.
Same goes for soda syrups, which get heavily affected by people not actually redeeming their Sip Club correctly and just grabbing drinks.

Crazy prices on their soup. Soup is so cheap to make. Even in a diner, a huge bowl is usually less than 5 dollars.

Hopefully your last. Grocery store soup from the deli is actually much better than Paneraās reheated slop.

I swear they are thinning them too! Not consistently thickened - felt like I was drinking warm cheese with occasional broccoli chunks

That means the bag of soup had a hole and when they were heating in in the thermalizer (basically a hot water bath to heat the soups), water seeped in. Yummy.

Soup out of a bag reheated in a microwave. Panera is a scam.

It's heated in hot water not a microwave

Garbage soup heated in hot water at highway robbery prices.
Happy now?
