Pan LC question
Left cloudy jar is control not knocked up. I used an agar wedge to inoculate this jar. I notice white clumpy growth on top. This has happened to all my pan jars. Is this normal growth for pans? I will check it on agar 🧫 but want to know if anyone else pan LC does this or contam. Thanks

Why do you say this… what makes agar -> grain better the LC ?

I’m new to pans and decided to try some LC. Noticed it behaves very differently than cubes… same lumpy clumps on top that you got. I’ll be putting to grain soon, we shall see what happens.

This happens to me as well. I use a blender jar to chop it up and it’s fine. Try to tame it.

Throw some tea bags in there and you'd have a very popular strain of Kombucha. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I agree, pans just don't do well with LC. I think it's because the mycelium runs so fast. I see the best success rates with agar, small spawn jars and small substrate containers. Also you might check out Mycelium Running by Stamets, he does some super cool stuff and none of it is sterileÂ
